PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Not sure that the panel give a fuck about whether it suits City or the PL tbf.
That's the point. If you ask a PL appointed panel composed of KC's and similar professionals to do a legal job that is what you get.
When Appeals were PL appointed members without legal qualification you got yes men to the PL.
At least that's what our recent results on PL matters have shown.

Would be handy if it came out now.
Now that the CWC is done and before the new season.
But i don't think the decision has been, or will be, affected by footballing matters.
When its ready it will be ready and thats that.

My money is on October. Well it would be if i'd placed a bet.

What's the logic behind it being bad for City the longer it takes? I can understand a quick decision possibly working in our favour if the evidence we presented was obvious and overwhelming but the same could be true if our evidence was obvious nonsense. A long wait could be the panel wanting to make sure all the dots are crossed and the t's dotted. Or maybe a panel member became ill or unable to meet or something

There is no logic behind what is clearly a nonsense assumption mate.

You could argue a slam dunk could be quicker.

So maybe some charges have stuck

You could argue a slam dunk against city would need to be more water tight due to the implications and appeals

However I think the media don’t realise how bad a slam dunk for city might be for the premier league. The wasted money the possibly of the charges being brought due to poor governance pressure from the red cartel. Maybe questions about rules of lack of them in related areas APT players sales, Hotel sales women’s team sales United Covid losses. All of this means even a win for city will have to be watertight

Here you go....

It's throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.
Potato head mentions PSR yet fails to mention the rags dodging it by having their off shore accounts used for submitting figures.
This guy is seriously shit at whatever he tries to write, this piece was just going round in circles and the headline has nothing to do with the article.
Another city hating **** skriking his eyes out about city.

@slbsn I have a question. If spending on building a hotel or mall isn't covered in PSR, can Chelsea build themselves another hotel for £200m cost to Chelsea then sell it for £200m to the parent conpany and that shows +£200m?

So like McDonalds and the Post Office, football clubs should become a property company? Or have I misunderstood?
Probably. In effect, Villa have done this with their "Warehouse". Built a function room on their plot and now will sell it to a related company for £50m (apparently) presumably on a sale and leaseback. Will probably be discussing this on Talksport at 11.15 today including recounting how I led the sale and leaseback of "Reebok City" in 2004 for the club - an early example of such deals!1751436757600.png

Cannot get behind the pay wall is this charge related or something else

Interesting ....I have only read what is posted above about widows of construction works. What does he say about rags making the widows of the Munich air crash homeless ?

Does he mention America invading countries that they don't like ?

I think I started the assumption but I am happy with it. Quicker better. That is not to say a delay is definitively bad news because there are so many things that can impact timing but as a general rule, I think it is a good assumption. Then is the question of when is early. April was the opening of the window for judgment. If the season starts without a decision, I would say this is a negative signal. I fully expect a decision imminently although I believe as of earlier this week, the decision wasn't with the parties.

Is Manchester Life, the company that owns all those houses, somewhere in the City related parties? Could be potentially do some stuff with that as those 100+ houses must be worth a fortune.

Also couldn't we sell the Joie Stadium to the Women's Team to grab another hundred million? And then sell the Womens Team to another entity to grab even more? Possibly I've reversed the order there.

Basically what I'm asking is what's even the point of PSR now if everybody can do this? Why not just remove it if its so easy for the big clubs subvert?

Is your “quicker better” scenario really that reliable in such a complex case. The fact that there’s 130 plus charges means any hearing was always gonna be lengthy- as proved the case, and the write up was gonna be a mammoth task. The window for an announcement is effectively like a piece of string - no one knows where we are in that window. We are all just waiting and naturally getting frustrated but as I’m sure you’d agree the panel just need to get this right.
