Stupid little things that bug you

Extra charges are a rip off and do my head in.
I clicked on an ad for a Hisense freezer £199. Extras for unpack, install, recycle old etc about £60.
Then right at the bottom “Door reversal £40.” Wtf??? It’s a one minute job.
So, if you want them to deliver and install etc, it turns out potentially to cost about £300, 50% more than the price quoted.
Sounds like “Fly to Paris for £12. If you want a piss, that’s £30 extra”

If you order through AO and take their 12 month offer most of that stuff is covered for a one-off payment along with free delivery.

Buy a couple of items over the year and you're quids in.

People selling sheds that are falling down by themselves already to people stating that buyer dismantles and takes away.

It's code for, are there any mugs out there that will take away the shit I don't want and pay me for the privilege too.

Cheeky hard faced bastards.

Pinelap shed, size is 6 x 4 feet. Reasonably good condition. Needing a new plastic window and roof felt. This is being emptied this weekend so ideally needs collecting this weekend from swanwick DE55. Good pressure treated quality pine walls (cost £400 5 years ago) been treated twice since built. Ready for another coat of cuprinol. Buyer won't be disappointed. Will need a good size van to collect. Thanks

£50 for shit they were throwing away and you pay them for their own shit collection :)

To be honest, we fell for that once. The shed at £30 was a bargain, but dismantling....? No wonder the seller disappeared into his house never to be seen again as soon as he got the cash.

Bloody hell. I reckon whoever erected the shed bought B&Q out of nails and screws. If they hadn't bent most of them I'd have got £50 worth to use again.

Remove panel by panel? No chance. It was more like board by board. There was a point where we were just going to pack up and go and put it down to experience.

But no... I'd borrowed a mate's truck to collect it, and I was going to use it. What seemed like hours later, we were on our way home with blistered fingers and several hundred pieces of shed.

That's when I realised that I had the whole process to repeat in reverse when we got home. Deep joy.

So, we had a lovely shed (eventually). However... If I'd charged the missus by the hour for the whole job, I could have bought a brand new shed and had it delivered.

Her indoors wanted another shed (Yes I know it would mean joining the 2 shed wanker group but...) she looked specifically at what could only be described as a pile of firewood 15 miles away that cost £20, the thing was literally falling down no window in t and the felt was sparse to say the least.

It's amazing people can look at them and think it's anything other than a rip off :)

They should be paying YOU for taking it away. I wonder how much the local council would have charged them...

The desperate attempt by football commentators to find match day stats' so we, the audience, can be amazed by their fountain of knowledge.
During the women's euros.
During some match, some commentator said...
"This is the first time in women's euro history, that two teenagers, in the same team have both provided assists in the first half of a match".

I had no idea there was a women’s euros.

Here's a decent one of those examples, not a bad shed but you ain't picking it up in a Robin Reliant ;-)

That looks a decent bit of wood to be fair. Probably worth the trip if they empty out the contents before you get there and you can park nearby.
Looks a bit tight though... Is it on google streetview?
