Oasis reunion

I went last night.
I'm not a liar.
I'm not a bullshitter.
I'm not saying this just because Noel and Liam are Mancs and City fans.
It was fucking amazing last night.
Liam smashed it.
Noel sounded superb.
They atmosphere was amazing.
Everyone joining in with the songs.
Got talking to people from Bristol and Sheffield. We ended up buying each other pints.
No trouble
Everyone got on.
Old and new City shirts every wear.
The organization, travel, stewards, bar service, even the toilets were superb.
For those of you going on Saturday and on Sunday, you'll fucking love it.
That's brilliant.
But were there any early leavers ?

Where do you Mancy Mancs recommended for us to go drinking wise in Manchester when we get there 4/5ish on Saturday

I'd just get in the venue early and get a nice spot, it's very well organised with loads of bars and it actually isn't that much of a pisstake price wise, probably at worst a quid or so more a pint than you would pay in town anyway.

Cheers bud but this is for the day/night before !

Yeah.

The sound system and massive speakers were excellent.

I also thought the videos on the video screens were great.

One thing that I could fault, but I don't want to as there''s probably a valid reason for it, was the silence in-between some of the songs. That killed that atmosphere a bit. I would have rather Liam or Noel talked to the crowd whilst instruments were being changed or whatever was going on. I was too far from the stage to see. Again, it's not a criticism, it's just a minor detail I picked upon last night.

Hardly noticed the gaps in between tbh though I had ingested some magical fungi so was just enjoying the visuals.

I did think the atmosphere during Cast and Ashcroft could have been a bit livelier, felt like the crowd size doubled when Oasis came out, though that's a minor quibble.

I was there too and totally agree. Superb night. Zero queueing at the bars. Oasis wow, amazing. First I've ever seen them. Before they reunited I used to talk hypothetically about how much I'd pay or how far I'd travel if they ever got back together for a one off.

I've done it now, a small part of the bucket list ticked off and it was everything I'd hoped it would be.

Side note - Little by Little was never one of my favourite songs of theirs, probably not that close. Hearing it live that's changed, amazing.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about Little By Little.

Try the following proper pubs in the Northern Quarter

Crown & Kettle
The Castle
Gullivers
Port St Beer House

Maybe also try Definitely Maybe bar which will be mental and like the gig.

Bundobust for really good Indian Street food also with a great selection of beers in Piccadilly

Noel sings it well. Usually on the HFB setlist that one.

I'll start this off by saying I'm not really an Oasis fan, more into hard rock/metal. I took family from New Zealand to the Wednesday gig and it was fucking mint, atmosphere was good and no coked up knobheads knocking about!
Can't believe the Gallaghers didn't show up to their own gig

Hope the weather forecast picks up for em. Looking a bit iffy currently

Sorry Sparky, I wrongly assumed you meant on the day of the gig. If you get off the train at Victoria or Piccadilly, the Printworks is alright. There's a Spoons in there for a few cheap liveners. A bit down Deansgate (side street to the right) is Mulligans which is decent. Carry on down Deansgate and turn left onto Peter Street and you'll find Peaky Blinders followed by Albert Schloss.

Sinclairs is a must. Then you're not far from the main City pub in town 'The Hare & Hounds'. Just around the corner from there is a great curry house as well.
Sinclairs is a shit heap full of smackheads and pickpockets. Plus it’s owned by Sam Smiths, a company run by an even bigger **** than that prick from Wetherspoons.

Wouldn’t give those wankers a penny if it was the last pint on earth.
