I'm no Oasis fanboy but from what I've seen they really do sound fantastic.
They split up on a sour note and hadn’t sounded consistently good since the early 2000’s. Liams grown up a lot and worked on his voice for years now. All Noel wanted was for Liam to act professionally and now that’s happening they are sounding fantastic.I wasent to bothered when they announced they were reforming, because I thought they would sound crap, but have to say they sound fantastic on footage I’ve seen on YouTube, i thought the stone roses reunion gigs sounded dull and tired compared to these new oasis ones.

I’m hoping they make a new album on the back of this, but if they bowed out after a rumoured summer tour next year, no one would be able to complain.
80s they were rifeI don't remember people wearing bucket hats in the 90s — but then again, if you remember the 90s, you weren't really there.
Yeah, alright for a Roses concert, but this is straight-up cultural appropriation.80s they were rife
I used to wear City ones at the match, as a kid, in the late 80s and early 90's.80s they were rife

Aight, I was thinking more mid-90s music fashion — not many bucket hats in the crowd when Oasis played Maine Road in '96I'm talking city fans
True, but i was hammered after drinking in the Sherwood with 2 Leeds paras on return from Germany that afternoon.Aight, I was thinking more mid-90s music fashion — not many bucket hats in the crowd when Oasis played Maine Road in '96
They possibly sound as good as they ever have post-KnebworthI wasent to bothered when they announced they were reforming, because I thought they would sound crap, but have to say they sound fantastic on footage I’ve seen on YouTube, i thought the stone roses reunion gigs sounded dull and tired compared to these new oasis ones.
It's all about Liam.If he is up for it they put on a great show.It was hard to avoid the hype about how good Oasis are on this tour so I was a little worried that the gig would not live up to it. I worried that a Wednesday night Wembley crowd might not be as mad for it as they seemed to be at Heaton Park or the weekend. I worried that last time I saw Oasis 25 years and 9 days ago, they weren’t great. I worried that the price of my very dynamically priced ticket wouldn’t be worth it.
Of course, I needn’t have worried. Oasis did not disappoint. I won’t say this gig was better than Oasis at Maine Road but it was up there. I have been to hundreds of gigs and this one really was one of the great ones.
How does a fifty something bloke in a parka with a bucket hat, and sometimes a tambourine on his head, command an audience like Liam, and how the hell is he singing so well!? These shows wouldn’t work if Liam wasn’t on top form. Noel wasn’t half bad either. He solos like a man who writes songs, and that is a good thing.
For a good few years I’ve been saying the best live bands in the world are The Stones, Foos and Bruce & the E Street Band, well you can add Oasis to the list.
