Oasis reunion

I went last Friday. Didn't manage to get there till 7pm but we still bagged a decent spot on the half-way line. So if you're there in time for Cast, you'll do even better.

The atmosphere around London during the day was mega. Oasis fans everywhere we went. Personally, I'm glad we experienced that part rather than spending the whole day stood in a queue to get in.

But to answer your question, people started queuing for the front at 7am, which is clearly insane. I reckon you'd be alright if you joined it around 1-2pm, but you'd have a much better time around the pubs in central London.
Cheers - I live in London so can skip the central boozers but will try and get there around Cast start time.

This one? I saw it yesterday and it makes far more sense than 16 nights at the Emptyhad. The Holy Trinity would be one in Europe, one at City and the last one at Knebworth.
Saw this one too but it can't be true as some of the European stadiums have other bands playing on those dates. Plus there's no way they'd kick off Knebworth on a Tuesday night.

we're drinking L.Bridge/Southbank way and tube up, its a shame the pubs in and around wembley are just to busy.

The atmosphere in Cardiff was the same, it made the whole day an even as much as the absolutely incredible gig

For those who've been to Wembley, what's the deal with getting in the front sections? I'm off on Saturday with the three (grown up) kids and they obviously don't mind queuing for ages it that's what it takes but I have to say I'm less keen. Any advice appreciated.
My mate went to Wembley for last night. He got there at 3:30pm. He queued for about an hour but he managed to get a wrist band to get to the front section. I think when you get in just go straight to barrier at the front and they hand out the wrist bands. This was his view of the stage. A1AB26A9-82CF-45BA-85F1-3518916F3E4C.jpeg

I’d say it’s definitely worth the effort. Although it’s shit beer it’s pretty easy to get booze inside Wembley and it’s not that much more expensive than usual London prices.

I’d say it’s well worth the effort.

I went to Heaton Park and had a brilliant time but was in the back section and watched most of the gig on the screens. It’s not quite the same.

They split up on a sour note and hadn’t sounded consistently good since the early 2000’s. Liams grown up a lot and worked on his voice for years now. All Noel wanted was for Liam to act professionally and now that’s happening they are sounding fantastic.

I’m hoping they make a new album on the back of this, but if they bowed out after a rumoured summer tour next year, no one would be able to complain.
I know a lot has been said between 2009-2024 so nothing can be ruled out regarding the future but I'd be really surprised if they recorded any new music.

I think Noel would want to return to writing and recording music for him, although on all the HFB albums there's an Oasis-ish sound on some songs but generally he's moved away from writing that sort of music that gets the masses excited (without sounding like an Oasis gate-keeper - I think the % of people at these gigs who have listened to Council Skies more than once will be very very low), there were rumours from Liam that his last solo album was going to be his last and then he was going to take a long break - obviously he did the album with Squire since then so who knows, plus they've only played one song post-1997 on this tour which to me says they are just cashing in on nostalgia, and who can blame them.

Doubt they're going to do a 2028 20 year anniversary tour of Dig Out Your Soul as much as I'd love that.

Went last night, obviously knew the set but it has to go down as one of the best set lists from any gig there’s been. Ridiculously good.

Also, no aggro or any knobheads in sight which was a pleasant surprise…

Oh I forgot, he dedicated Stand by Me to rkid… has he done that at any of the previous ones? Assumed he was talking about Noel but obviously with what’s gone on recently I did wonder..
Definitely a give the people what they want setlist no messing about. Incredible that almost all the tracks come from an 18 month period.

Absolutely one of the best set lists I’ve had the pleasure of hearing.

I've spent the last two days in that there London on a break with the missus and our young daughter.

Oasis weren't even playing on these two days, yet as previously stated, there were Oasis fans everywhere (I'm a big fan too and seen them at Maine Road and Knebworth)

I wanted to go into the Adidas stores - it's a trainer thing - but couldn't get there early morning as there were queues and I don't mean a dozen people, there were a good hundred plus people at the one on Bond Street and the other one in Carnaby Street.

I did get into the Bond Street store late afternoon and it was rammed and people were buying so much Oasis / Adidas merchandise, it was ridiculous.

I'm also constatntly listening to Radio X Oasis channel in my car - yes I have all the albums and can play the songs anytime I want, but it's mad that they have their own radio station!!

They have absolutely nailed this so far, completely captured the imagination of new and old fans alike and for myself who didn't bother trying to get tickets "because I saw them in 96 when they were in their prime, etc. etc".........I'm more than impressed with how they sound this time round and am extremely disappointed I didn't bother.

What I've now realised though is just how big they are and were and how the songs have lasted the test of time and will continue to do so.

There's something special about the band, Oasis
