PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You heard it here first.

The punishment will be
Being sold to a family of American leeches that don't know you can play football without a helmet.
Having a stream of imbecilic managers, each one more inept than the past.
Having to pay four times the value of any player.
Having a fan base that despite all the evidence to the contrary, still think they are relevant.

They will not be happy times.

But I find this unlikely, as I’d expect the company line would be to say nothing - and to hold that they are waiting for the panel to arrive at its judgement before making any substantive comments on the situation.

That said, they were definitely very bullish in tone, and dismissed any view that City’s position on the charges held any credibility whatsoever.

I don’t say this lightly either, but these supposedly senior guys at the premier league have told this to you but to nobody else, hence it’s not all over the media? I don’t think that’s realistic

Had a few posts on here similar to this style as of recent, whether it be from a city or PL POV. Obviously some have said they expect it soon, but the similar posts can definitely back this up.

Told me the PL were still very confident they would be proven right when the panel returned their judgement, and dismissed City’s position a lacking credibility?

It’s hardly a major scoop mate - and it’s hardly a front page exclusive.

It’s mostly interesting because it likely indicates the PL haven’t had the judgement yet - despite speculation to the contrary - which is why I posted it.

No way has City’s position lacked credibility. If that was the case they would have sought a way out two years ago and not let the investigation go on like this
