PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

FWIW the email looks absolutely genuine to me. Would be a very creative mock up with many little details correct. And why would anyone do that anyway.
I’m struggling!. You replied to my earlier query that it isn’t permitted etiquette for a KC to reply to random member of the public about the status of a case.

So are you saying the email is “real” and Pannick has broken permitted etiquette?

The ‘regulated by the BSB’ and the usual boilerplate bit about confidentiality/privileged info etc.. part suggests it might be but the sign off seems a little basic and thin in detail and the absence of any reference to Legal 500/Chambers and Partners within it seems a bit odd, yet LinkedIn is in there. Most chambers have a boilerplate email sign off which is far more detailed than that. Plus no direct dial to his clerk seems odd.

Wouldn’t expect him to put his mobile on there although many silks do.

Edit: plus the LP thing is a bit weird. It means his email address must be lordpannick@… which seems like a ridiculously pompous email address to have and meant he would have changed it when he was made a Lord -although tbf some people do add KC at the end of their email address when they take silk, although I think it looks wanky personally
Wanky silk.

One of my favourite early 90s bit of blue for t’dads.

tbf, ‘permitted’ in your post was preceded by ‘normal’ and it most certainly isn’t.

Plus your post posited the question more broadly than the contents of Pannick’s putative email.

If that is Pannick then he’s barely stayed the right side of the line there, although I wonder if a junior would be afforded as much leeway with the BSB, as a silk when responding to an unsolicited email about an ongoing case as ‘LP’ would. I suspect not.

It’s from the same playbook that lets the cunts get away with asking leading questions of their own witnesses, in a way that someone without their stripes never would.

But if - as you agreed - it is not normal, or even permitted, etiquette for a KC to respond to a random member of the public regarding the status of a case - why would someone of his status & importance to our club, send that reply to a city fan?

It all makes no sense.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

This thread gets more and more absurd!

Interestingly though, Bohemian Rhapsody contains 115 words and was written in 1975. The 1975 are a band fronted by Matty Healy who is a Newcastle fan. Newcastle play in black and white which was the traditional colour of prison uniforms.

We are guilty.
