Is fast food dead?

The Pot Noodle will never die

Whilst I wouldn't eat them personally, a medium sized big mac meal, costing £7.60 is frankly insane.

You can get a joint of beef, all the veg and a dessert which would feed a family of 4 adults for less than the cost of 1.5 big mac meals.

Or if you must have burgers, Tesco's now do 2 Wagyu 1/4lb for £7.60.

I want to know where you buy your meat, veg and desserts from or your portion sizes must be pretty darn small.

Scottish beef roasting joint from Morrisons (Tesco also doing similar) £6.49/kg. Carrots/Parsnips/Sprouts/Cabbage nearly always on special offer but lets call it a couple of quid. Bag of potatoes 2kg £1.32.

I can't believe how much lamb has increased in the last six months or so. It's almost doubled and I have no real idea why ?
Lamb I bought 2 whole legs of lamb the other week for £12.70 each. Was on special at Tesco should have been £30 each.

There are loads of deals on at the moment so stock up. We went to both Morrisons and Tesco and spent the best part of £200 on beef, pork and lamb, butchered them up into smaller joints (obviously not the legs of lamb) and frozen them. Will last us months of Sunday roasts.

Anyhow you forgot the gravy and the desserts :-), so no you can't really feed 4 adults for the price of 1 and half big mac meals.

Also reading the reviews of the cheapest tesco stuff at still over £11 a kg the consensus is its fat ridden shite.

Problem nowadays even a sarnie and pasty(small square barely warm thing not a proper pasty) from greggs is over a £5. Had a kebab the other week on naan £7.50. Eating is expensive or we were used to very low inflation for a decade so its a bit of a shock to the system

Cmon gravy costs literally nothing, as for dessert it cost bugger all to whip up an apple crumble. Its hardly fair to compare a good quality £30 joint of beef with the shite in a McDonald's.

Anyway the point was £7.60 for low quality fast food is outrageous and by the time you scale it up to a family eating, £30 to sit on a plastic chair and eat shit out of a bag seems terrible value, yet some people seem to like it, nowt as funny as folk.
