Places like the stalls in Ashtom market must be fuming at the lost business, saw a bloke in Tesco today with a large trolley packed with cheap potatoes (sure he has a shop....). they should limit them to two per customer or something like that.

Anyway the point was £7.60 for low quality fast food is outrageous and by the time you scale it up to a family eating, £30 to sit on a plastic chair and eat shit out of a bag seems terrible value, yet some people seem to like it, nowt as funny as folk.

Problem nowadays even a sarnie and pasty(small square barely warm thing not a proper pasty) from greggs is over a £5. Had a kebab the other week on naan £7.50. Eating is expensive or we were used to very low inflation for a decade so its a bit of a shock to the system

Don’t why you think I wouldn’t be an authority on the price of meat, depends how many you are feeding obviously but you can get cuts of meat that are cheaper than £15, especially if you use a butcher who will cut the exact size you need.We just had a Sunday nice roast for 2 including a decent glass of wine for under £10.Never said it should be in place of home cooking, fuck me someone mentions a kebab...... haha

Funnily enough my son was sending me pictures of his Wagyu bavette staff meal just last night :).We sent him a picture of our Haggis, neeps and tatties sausage rolls with beans. :)They don't need to be expensive but let me tell you, a ribeye of A5 Wagyu is worth every penny for the joy and happiness it brings to one's palate compared to Tescos finest version!! :-)
