PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Who honestly thought there would be no decisions on the 115 charges until 2026?
There's a whole media industry making a ton of money off of this - and the longer it goes on "unresolved" the better it is for them and their dying industry. Likewise the cartel clubs, for whom an unresolved status enables them to continually play the "yeah but the 115" card ad infinitum to deflect from their perpetual "2nd best at best" status. And of course the legals will just continue to rake in bags of cash in exchange for their lengthy deliberations.

So in reality I suspect that there is quite a short list - ie one, us - that would like to see this concluded.

He estimated back in Feb 23 that it would take 2-4 years to conclude. So another 14 months to the upper end of that estimate.

To conclude, yes. Not to get the liability judgment, I would imagine.

Don't forget, even after we get that, there is still a sanction hearing and judgment and then possible appeals.

It’s what happens when a group of unqualified people in a sporting body make malicious unsubstantiated fraud allegations against a global business. The so-called PL investigation was carried out by a small team of accountants with no experience of handling such issues. The evidence from the APT case showed they had been overwhelmed. The PL chose to create the fake “115 charges” narrative as if they were the FBI. They chose to do all this after City had already been exonerated by the highest legal body in sport, CAS.

I think the time after the end of the season and before the start of the world cup could be when we hear the outcome....or maybe the day of the World Cup Final if someone is really desperate to bury the news

So what we saying then; announced on the 1 year anniversary of the end of the hearing? Some time in February? April 1st?

Won't be during the season, as ramifications could be significant and would be impossible, to predict, irrespective of outcome. Some time around the World Cup would allow for a degree of distraction. I can't imagine it being during the World Cup and afterwards doesn't leave much time before the start of the new season, so (assuming an outcome has been decided) as I've mentioned a few posts above (and in sveral other posts), the week and bit between the end of the season and the start of the World Cup is when I believe the announcement will be made. If a Premier League club other than City wins the league and/or the Champions League and England do well (or really badly) in the World Cup, then this will bury the news about the outcome long enough for most fans to move on to something else. Of course City could win the Premier League, the Champions League and England could have an unremarkable World Cup, in which case a large number of fans will need something to vent their frustration about

Also what happens when a controlling trio of clubs still feel that their hubris will prevail against UK law.
