They refer the club to a disciplinary process for allegedly breaching their rules and then expect the club to agree to amending the rules to suit their crazy allegations. I wouldn't care how long it takes and "how it looks for the game" - they should have thought about that before they made the allegations.

I remember some idiot club CEOs being quoted as saying they were surprised at how aggressively the club was defending itself. I had no idea what that meant at the time.

It will only make sense when a club gets kicked out of the premier league for trumped up charges & gives a statement of “no hard feelings……”

You don't KNOW anything of the sort. You only KNOW what you have been told. There are only a handful of people so involved in this process that they KNOW what is really happening on a day-to-day basis so everybody else is just repeating what that handful of people want them to hear. I don't know how high up the information chain you are - second hand, third hand (probably quite high in view of your new role) - but unless you are first hand it doesn't matter. You are just repeating something you have been told.

Framing it that way doesn't make it less useful information.

I am not questioning your assessment of what you have been told, by the way - I can imagine it's probably right - just the way you present it.

:) I am all in favour of posters assessing what they are told, coming to a conclusion as to it's veracity and sharing it. I just think we should be allowed the same courtesy without being told what is true and what isn't.

I think the caveat should be “I’m led to believe” which also covers I could be manipulated, lied to, bullshitted but I believe it.
