Some of the excuses were staggering, and I had to bite my lip on more than one occasion with certain posters. Thankfully, some of those former pro-Trump posters have admitted they were wrong, and quietly disappeared off this thread. Some even stayed around. Many have chosen not to admit they were wrong, which leads me to believe that this is exactly what they wanted from his administration. Basically, if you think that Trump and his merry band of ****'s are still the lesser of two evil's you are on the wrong side of history and you can fuck all the way off, and that is about as politely as I'm willing to put it.

I wanna say some shit about them but I don't wanna get banned.

But lets be honest.. they haven't made mistakes, they're smiling ear to ear and happy Trump is doing what they wanted and they will be so happy if we're all next!

One — count ‘em — fucking ONE — admitted he was wrong.

The rest are cowards. They own this. History will remember them unkindly. More important, they have to live with the knowledge. Those with brains and consciences will suffer, though they will rationaliz(s)e and skirt.

I have never understood why people don’t stand up and admit they were wrong. I don’t understand their fear. Because I’m usually right but sometimes wrong, and have no issue saying “I don’t know” (and tend not to wade into discussions where I have no command of facts), and try to be quick to hold my hand up when I am wrong, I don’t seem to have these problems.

I see such stubbornness of opinion as a horrible human weakness.

You’re assuming they think they were wrong. They don’t. They were just pushing a line to make the awful things they actually believe sound palatable and reasonable. Now the mask has slipped they’re nowhere to be found.

Per an earlier post somewhere, I am not referring to cult members nor sapient idiots nor monstrously craven opportunists who benefit from what’s happening here now. I am referring to the otherwise thoughtful and educated who KNOW they were wrong.

86% of Republicans are either in support of a cold blooded murder or aren’t sure.

The United States is already a failed state and likely going to break apart. I don’t think we last before a reckoning happens in the next few years. At this point it seems it is inevitable.

I've made my peace with it.. hopefully it happens soon and Canada annexes us. I'll happily pay more in taxes for healthcare.

If the NRA really has condemned this (I haven’t seen any articles TBF) and these numbers stay steady I don’t see a way back to normal political discourse any time soon. It’s freaking insane.

I mean the equivalent would be ICE (or Trump) forcing a woman to have an abortion at gunpoint and all those who claim to be anti-abortion saying it was justified.

Maybe the high percentage of “not sure” among GOPers gives us hope. Not confident in that though.

But this has always been about how far you can go with anchoring, starting with “grab ‘em by the pussy” and “I could shoot someone on 5th Avenue.”

The news just white washed it as if it never happened and no one even talks about their crimes. That's some Joseph Mengele shit right there and Americans still voted for them again.. 80 million+

They also have there concentration camp out in the everglades which seams to have gone quiet
