The investigation, hearing and waiting for the verdict is now 7+ years.

It's 16 months between the hearing and now.

Which is now significantly more than the investigations to verdict for the fraud scandals of Enron, Worldcom and Wirecard.

Apart from the fact that Enron, WorldCom and Wirecard were classic criminal cases—with entirely different prosecutorial resources—each of those cases had a clear smoking gun that caused the defence to collapse, something that does not appear to exist in our case.
