PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

At times with all the fretting on here abou nwinning the league, champions league and transfers, I think relegation to league 2 might be a restbite from the serious bods here and a more enjoyable time of pisstaking as we soar up the tables

After COVID's finances showing us that clubs don't need fans as much as they think they do.. and with Americanization of the sport.. I fear the day is not far from when teams move away from cities they were founded to get a bigger financial share and profits for the owners and eliminate promotion and relegation.

Like for example what is happening in America.. there's a team in Canada called the Vancouver Whitecaps.. and the owner wants to move them from Vancouver to Las Vegas because he considers it a bigger market to profit from. The fans cannot stop him.. and the local government has tried to bribe him into staying with 30 years worth of free taxes and all profits from parking and stuff.. but even that's not enough.

My point being.. they will come up with a way to eliminate relegation and will always want their club to be in the top league.. forever! Not saying City will do this.. but that's the next pure capitalism thing that will piss off fans but make the owners very very rich.

Ofcourse City will still get the blame for it.. even though we were never the guilty party!

All the way through this process since we were first charged I can honestly say I've given not one fuck about it. I've defended City on wembley way to Rags, Arsenal, Forest and Southampton fans, the last two surprisingly being the most vociferous. And in all honesty I haven't got a real clue about the charges myself, because I haven't studied them or given a single fuck. And thats my first question to anyone else giving us shit over it, can you actually name me one full charge and what it means. And nobody can or ever does.

I've never for a single second thought we would get relegated. I've never been worried or concerned about any of it. Whatever happens or doesn't, we will still be there following the boys in blue. Imagine them relegating the 4 times champions, treble winners, 100 points its just ludicrous to even think it could happen. I'm more concerned with the damage it's done and how they seem to be punishing us with ludicrous decisions every week which convinces me they've got fuck all on us.
Sounds like you’ve cracked it mate, think I might give it a go;)

You haven't got a clue about the charges, call yourself a fan.
It's four charges with multiple breaches of each:
1) Making the rags cry.
2) Making the dippers cry.
3) Making the arses cry.
4) Biggest offence - Upsetting the broadcasters because we don't have a few million armchair dwelling parasites willing to fund Sky and TNT.

ha ha just listening to these media pricks talking about southampton spying on training and they guess not only team to do this but then on finacial cheating oh yes only big bad city cooking books without saying it

Personally, I back Tolmie.

It’ll be shortly after the Premier League has concluded and we’ll be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Sooo...this whole thing ended about 2 Christmases ago and 95% of the most serious charges were taken completely off the table within 6 weeks of them being announced?

Seems to have dragged on a bit for any of that to be true...

I can see something happening similar with the Rags and the developments of their stadium. I think the Glazers and Scruffy Jim want to move the team to London and the Wembley Stadium.
  1. We know they haven't got the money to finance a new ground.
  2. The revenue that they will make from tourist supporters flying in for their games will dwarf what the legacy Rags supporters generate.
I think at first it will be a temporary move whilst they redevelop Old Trafford, but quite quickly some excuse will be made about not being able to redevelop. Just my thoughts, but given the nature of the Glazers and Scruffy Jim, it's not outside the realms of possibility.

If a holiday maker can put in a claim against the tour operator for not being able to get a sunbed because people had put their towels on them then I’m fucking sure City can and should bring this lot to court for defamation of character
Quite a karma moment that ! Ironic it was a German suing the holiday co. Because he couldn’t get a sun lounger in the middle of the night ! ;-)

Hope they fuck off to landan and stay there. I'm from Stretford, and i used to hold my breath whilst looking the other way, when i got the bus to work in Town aged 16. Still do it now aged 61 when ever i go down Chester Road past the swamp.

I hate United as much as most City fans, but that would be an unbelievable treacherous manoeuvre. I’d be on the local fans side there making sure it was burnt to the ground.
