The accurate version is that the City had a weak leavers process, an inadequate Joiners/Movers/Leavers process. That left credentials live after a staff member had left, and they exploited the resulting access gap. That's the access control/RBAC failing. This is why we settled; if it went to the ICO, they would have probably ruled "inadequate access control"

He did though. He signed a one year plus option of one year. He said himself last week that “as soon as the players know you’re leaving, they stop listening.”

I think the “plus one year option” was always to allow him to not break a contract and to reduce speculation that would enable players to not respond to him in a “final” season.

it is not denigration.

he, as i have stated on multiple occasions, gave us incredible insight into the inner workings and thinkings of the legal side of things.
we are all much more informed because of his input, there is no doubting it.

but he talked down to people, he really did, i'm not making that up,
sometimes just saying "fuck off" to those who disagreed with him.
he came across as having an i-know-better-than-you attitude because i-know-people.

i will repeat for the umpteenth time that he helped us all comprehend the inner workings of things,
but he constantly and continually guessed, incorrectly,
(and is still doing so on other platforms)
thus some people, myself included, with much respect, think he was chancing his arm.

i love your forum.
i know and respect how much effort you and your family and friends put into providing us with this place where we can share our thoughts, opinions
and often our daftness :)
