Enzo Fernandez

Good player, but I don't want him because of his personality. On the pitch, he is frequently unable to control his emotions. I don't want this sputtering teapot of a player at City.

I truly believe we need some real energy in the middle of the park but I'm not sure this is the fella for a couple of reasons. Chelsea are going to want close to what they paid (fuck that), and 2, it's likely just made up bollocks

I wonder if Enzo has a clause in his contract for missing out on champions league allows him to leave at a certain price? It`s obvious that we are strongly looking at this but we also must know there is a way of getting him out at a decent price.

Exactly this...we need a very similar player to what Fernan offered. The ability to break up the opposition play and speed
at first i thought that Ederson from Atalanta seems like that type of player, alas it seems Man U has won

probably ready player for City is either Tonali, Bruno.G, Tchouameni imho

if we are looking at young players, i think it is Baleba or Mamadou Sangare

i doubt it, he was pretty desperate to leave Benfica at the time

A new fitness coach, a new set piece coach, 3 top class energetic midfielders as jury is out in Rodris fitness/injuries, a proper RW with goals and assists, and a 2nd striker to put pressure on Haaland.
Midfield is our biggest issue

I have posted on the reijnders thread about players from seria a - the italian league is in no way a barometer

Its very easy for an ordinary player to stand out in that league and then look like a worldy on stas paper.

The quality of football in the italian league is shockingly bad and is painful to watch

If you watch what Maresca wants watching a few Chelsea fan tactically videos about his system and other tactic vids of how he would set us up from how his Leiceter and Chelsea sides were set up previously, none of our midfielders apart from Rodri fit his system.

Its crazy what he wants his 2 midfielders to do in front of that defence. They have to win duels , press resistant, box crash , score goals provide high energy. They can't just do a bit of what's listed they have to be able to do all of it.

Caicedo and Ndidi role was destroyer but also want the ball to feet be able to drop and take the ball of the keeper they also had to have the positional awareness to spin with the ball after recieving it. When they couldn't do that Cheslea and Leicester would concede chances or goals.

the Enzo Fernandez role he had to do a lot more , he had to box crash, provide goals, be positionally aware, provide an outlet, switch postions with the ten, spray ball in behind and out wide, win his duels and link up play.

Dewsbury Hall came into Chelsea as he knew the system and could help the other players learn it, I can see Maresca asking for Enzo Fernandez for that reason also once Maresca trusts you, you become a core part of his system and start nearly all the games

I just dont see us doing £100m ish on him mate no matter how much Maresca wants him? Anderson will cost about the same as well possibly?
probably 80-90mil+ player (Lewis) for Anderson

i don't think this will happen, i think he will wait for Real Madrid when JM will decide the players

also both Anderson and Enzo are both 8 for me, i don't think they will work good together

i'd rather sign destroyer/engine in addition, someone like Fernardinho

Chelsea paid £106 million for him and unless they take a huge loss he's going to be there for what's left of his contract which doesn't run out until 2032 and he'll be collecting a decent wage for all of that time.

These 8 year contracts that Chelsea handed out are about ripe to bite them on their backsides.

then cheaper would be to get Dewsbury hall lol :D

That's one of the reasons he had a falling out with the chelsea board. He didn't want Hall to go that's his football son according to Leicester and Chelsea fans. He absolutely loves him with how big Chelsea squad was he struggled to give him minutes

His book value i believe is around £70m though at this time

What's happening with the other little Argentinian lad we signed and sent out on loan.?
.

Sounds about right that valuation.

There may be a deal to be done then for £75m which shows a book value profit for him and allows Maresca to get his man. As long as Anderson comes as well and its not instead of him then i`m fine with it.
