I totally understand your point, but it is still concerning that irrespective of who the CEO is at the PL, assuming that certain people were to be dismissed, the balance of control within the PL will still be held by US owned clubs, and they will not want to cede the type of influence/control after the years they have enjoyed with Masters at the head.
If City come out of the charges fiasco clearly exonerated then I think there should be moves made by City to ensure there is no repeat of the cabal domination shit going forward, although how that is achieved is more problematical.
However I don't expect the club to try and bring down the PL, but to try and establish a more powerful role within the running of the league. Whether they like it or not, City's success is responsible in part at least, for the swell of income for the PL.
Unfortunately the US owners are not going to fuck off whilst there is money to be made, however nefariously they choose to operate.
