PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Interesting that they stridently posit that if City are cleared (other) clubs will question the sporting integrity of the competition, rather than whether the competition’s administrative body is fit for purpose, which would surely be the correct issue to identify in those circumstances.

What the fuck have the charges got to do with sporting integrity anyway? None of the charges relate to anything that occurred on a football pitch.

And why is it always how catastrophic it will be for City if the charges are proven, but never catastrophic for the PL if they are substantively dismissed?
Sporting integrity left the building when Sky came in mate. These cunts are thick as fuck.

Every single trophy (bar one) in the Ferguson era was won with zero spending controls. They broke every transfer record, built up huge debts, and invested nothing in the local community. This is the United way.

Exactly not just rags way but footballs way.

Not in City's long term interests to effectively bankrupt the PL.
The media are no longer news providers they sell their opinions of news to the highest bidders.
As you say media criticism seems to motivate both players and fans so it can't be that bad.

I totally understand your point, but it is still concerning that irrespective of who the CEO is at the PL, assuming that certain people were to be dismissed, the balance of control within the PL will still be held by US owned clubs, and they will not want to cede the type of influence/control after the years they have enjoyed with Masters at the head.

If City come out of the charges fiasco clearly exonerated then I think there should be moves made by City to ensure there is no repeat of the cabal domination shit going forward, although how that is achieved is more problematical.

However I don't expect the club to try and bring down the PL, but to try and establish a more powerful role within the running of the league. Whether they like it or not, City's success is responsible in part at least, for the swell of income for the PL.

Unfortunately the US owners are not going to fuck off whilst there is money to be made, however nefariously they choose to operate.

If Masters goes then let's be careful what we wish for, as I wouldn't put it past the American owned clubs to push for a NFL/NBA US type CEO, would the new football regulator step in???

Mr M has already recently received his bonus so if as we expect 115 goes our way he is likely to be the scapegoat.

Along with some red cartel leaders who seem to be resigning recently this may satisfy any cleansing demands that City may insist on.
All ifs and maybes but we shall see.

Actually its in PERFECT interest.

The PL has shown it will favor the red cartel and hire officials that rig the league. I mean the PL was founded by the greed of the red cartel after all.

A new league might not be a bad idea if it gets rid of the power of the red cartel. Heck I half wouldn't even mind a European Super League but reality is the red cartel would be replaced by the Spanish cartel.

I am saying City know who our real enemies are and are possibly removing them from their position of power within their individual Clubs.

Hopefully creating a fairer PL.

Independent football regulator will have a say in all of this, could be why there's a huge delay.

From the UKGov site;
"This is why the IFR will seek to avoid adverse impacts on financial investment in and the growth of English football or on club competitiveness, and seek to avoid impacts on sporting outcomes in general."

the issue of the 115 legal costs incurred by the premier league seems a complex one to me...

the 20 clubs get their prize money from the premier league for the past season in 2 stages, july and august.

if the 115 announcement comes out before that and the premier league has to pay all our costs, when will that be due?

immediately, and having to come out of this season's fund?
or have the amounts per club already been announced?

so would it come out of next season's pot?
and why should, say, coventry have to cough up?

or do the premier league have a big wedge of cash they hold back in reserve for shit like this?

Any reasonable management accountant would have seen them make accruals over the past few seasons for the potential worst case outcome.

This revenue, I would expect, is sat on their balance sheet.
