PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Anyone who thinks the outcome of this, which ever way it goes, will be covered up is totally deluded .
Why would City allow them to cover it up, the innuendo would never stop.
If the Premier League had won, they would be singing from the rooftops.
Absolutely, there is no chance whatsoever of the outcome not being released.
Remember what Khaldoon said in his season review.
"Let me be as consistent as I've always been, until we have a ruling I can't say much.
Once we have a ruling, believe me we will have a wonderful sit down together and I'll say everything I've wanted to say for the last three years."
So some people need to calm their titties and let this overdrawn out process run it's course.

Where has Pannick confirmed that neither party is aware of the outcome?

With all due respect to Stefan or anyone else on this forum (unless Khaldoon has an account), no-one knows whether those who need to know the outcome of the case are aware of it or not.
For complete transparency I admit I am not Khaldoon nor have I had any direct contact with him. Nor do I know anything.

As if Lord Pannick would be on the emails with some randoms about the biggest case in football history AND none of the slags in the media who are on here picked it up ran an exclusive about it.
Wake up people.
I'm not so sure, I reckon a story confirming that nothing's happened and nobody knows anything yet would be much, much less likely to get punished than whatever bullshit they can make up about points deductions, fines, and relegations to keep the clicks coming.
I'm not convinced the emails are anything to be taken paticularly seriously but not because the press haven't picked up on them, the truth is harder to sell than lies and innuendo.

it's mental that people actually believe he sits around all day twiddling his thumbs...
"oh, look, i've had an unsolicited (geddit) email from someone. i think i will reply to it. i have nothing in my diary."

blackstone chambers will have loads of clerks who do shit like look at and answer random emails for their countless barristers,
whilst passing on the more important ones.

it may well have been verified on here that it came from his chambers and his personal blackstone email account,
but there's less than zero chance he himself wrote it.

all in my humble opinion, of course,
cos i'm not gullible as chuff :)

Not if it was being appealed and the appeal maybe taken to arbitration. The Chelsea FA case wasn't published until the appeal was finished as we all know.

As my other theories sink one by one with the inevitable passage of time (my last one being the PL was waiting for the new "SCR" rule book before announcing - although holidays may mean that is still bobbing about on the water), I find myself clinging to some major legal issue(s) holding everything up to keep me afloat, such as Haas's theory that non-compliance shifts the burden of proof from the complainant to the defendant in sporting disciplinary processes. If the PL were claiming something like that, the club would be delighted to take them to the ends of the legal world just to be confrontational, even if it wouldn't have any real effect on the outcome (imho).

Or for that matter, it could be some other legal issue the club chooses to disagree with, or multiple issues. And each challenge could take forever.

Or for that matter, of course, they could just be slow at writing the bloody thing up. Who knows? :)
There will still be a outcome, no matter how long it takes.

@Paladin someone's calling you a liar... fight fight fight
Haha. It's all genuine, and regarding the post that follows yours, it doesn't sound as though some clerk is replying on his behalf, but who knows?

The first email was obviously speculative, and I was as surprised as anyone when he replied. But as the old proverb says, if you don't ask, you don't get.

In this day and age no one can keep a secret or honour being sworn to non disclosure no matter who or what they are

So for me the most ridiculous thing about these so called charges is a decision has still not been concluded on any counts

What does surprise me is no one has leaked what the hell is actually happening ie where are they all in the case etc

The most incredulous thing other than the charges themselves is how absolutely nothing has officially been leaked not even a statement on progress or expectation of closure

It's unbelievable as you say in this day and age not a single leak of any description has appeared in any mainstream press, it just doesn’t make any sense at all, surely someone knows something or another.

twas i,
so i'll reply...

i honestly wasn't calling you out, mate.
i don't for one second doubt you sent the email and that you got a reply from his blackstone email address.

but in the cold light of day and with hindsight,
let's look at the facts of who lord pannick is...

the absolute apex of the uk legal profession.
band 1 leading silk.
regarded as one of the greatest advocates ever.
top of the list in numbers for appearances in the highest courts.
one of the country's most powerful and influential people in terms of law.
incredibly high-profile clients in genuinely landmark cases.

i have absolutely no idea what you do or who you are,
maybe you too are of high standing,
but my guess, and it is only a guess, is that you are not right up there,
(and if you are i will humbly apologise)
so unless you sent your email from another chamber of renown i still doubt it went ping on pannick's phone.

it doesn't sound as though some clerk is replying on his behalf, but who knows?

now i'm going to sound like a bit of a tosser.
everyone who knows me tells me i am one, so it's no big deal,
but could you explain exactly how you could tell the difference between an email from his lordship and one of his clerks?

what does "it doesn't sound as though" actually mean?
how might it sound differently if it were from a clerk and not him?

bearing in mind that his clerks, although not legal professionals, will have exhaustive, practical knowledge of such things and will know the details of all the cases in depth.
