Daily mail are reporting 40 mill. I hope we've got a quick singer and quality center midfielder lined up, because 40 million will be a big chunk of our budget.
how about a slow crooner ?

Not if talks about the 200m£ budget are true.

Can't wait to see him in a city shirt next season!

Confidence there fella!

I think there is a good chance too.....he's exactly what we need and the alleged second round of talks today must mean genuine progression on both sides.

I'm gonna have to seat out on this one. Love the player, but don't think he'd be that good at City. Smells of Cavani to PSG to me.

I do not think that 40 million are enough. He will be the hot thing this summer - if he does not rule out a transfer.

And actually - I do not think that it would be smart for de Bruyne to transfer after this season. I hope his agent and surrounding is good enough to hang onto Wolfsburg for another year.

His fee could be offset by the departure of Nasri, who, other than his strength on the ball,I see as inferior in every department.

I think Nasri is a better passer and better in possession but De Bruyne is more direct and potentially going to improve in those first departments. I hope we are looking at Reus before we move for De Bruyne - he's the player I'd rather have and he's better than Nasri in every department. I feel Bale and Sterling are better options than De Bruyne in terms of pace and skill and they're also homegrown.

I suppose it's unlikely that Reus will move clubs and De Bruyne may be more open to moving. The Bundesliga is still mickey mouse though and Bayern will win the league next season quite comfortably again.

its 40m pounds, thats 55m euro today

so apparently after the report that txiki was in meeting with De Bruyne's representatives again, talksport are claiming that the rags are the favorites to land him

Nasri is better in possession imo but De Bruyne is potentially much more of a threat to the opposition.
His workrate in the 2nd half v Inter though, was nowhere near the level City will require & Nasri would be slaughtered for it. It's one of the key things we are trying to greatly improve. He was fine first half, but we would not accept that 2nd half showing. It was shocking.

If he was that good Mourinho would not have sold him..his passing isn't at the level we need. Reus is a better option. I'd rather we spend big on a Pogba or a Bale and blood some youth, instead of 3 x 30- 40 mil signings..which up until now have been a waste ! We either have ambition or we slip into the Arsenal category and make up the numbers.

Mourinho got rid of him because he didn't like to train and didn't work hard enough for his liking in matches, it was the same with Juan Mata.

De Bruyne has been the best creative player in Europe this season, an absolute phenomenon with the numbers he is getting.

Nasri won't be leaving,he is one of our best players playing in an out of form team !

Mourinho is 10 years past his best,we have been pathetic yet still on his tale .Would be ahead if we hadn't dropped against shit teams !
