It would have to be very messed up for the sun to shine into the south stand :)there's always one game a season where the weather is messed up :D

Hi Gents,
Just to clarify, I got one on the new pitchside seats (rows 1-3) in the East Stand and the cost was £475. All the £299 & £380 seats in South Stand Level 3 were sold & there is only £600 seats available in there.
I was only after 1 ticket so after reading this thread I hoped I might get one of the 'odd' single seats that people think will be left over, but they said today they didn't have any, although that might be, as some think, a ploy to get you to buy the more expensive tickets with the spare "fill-in spaces" seats offered to those who didn't take up their waiting list option at a later date. I wasn't prepared to take that gamble though.
Where were you on the list ?My window opened today. There are sporadic seats in the very front 8 rows of the new south stand, other than that not much there. There are also some more expensive ones up in the third tiers of CB/East and a few right in the corners of the second tier. Didn't check the family stand.
Third tier south stand had some availability but seemed to be greyed out for me so I couldn't select them.
I'm in 242, £800.
Where were you on the list ?
Thanks for the update. From what you describe, I reckon the season ticket take up must be very high. Those empty rows were there last season too....has to be some space for match-day sales.Just got tickets for me and my 2 boys, i was 8598 on the waiting list. It was hard to find 3 seats together on level 2 as most of it is sold.
There are still few single seats available in 201, 230 and 231….not more than 30 in total.
There still lot of seats available in Block 242 and i got 3 together in row J.
Regarding availability, south stand Level 2 and 3 none.
Family stands still quite a few available on level 2, lots of them available at level 3 both ends…..last 5-6 rows almost empty.
The bottom line is, still lot of tickets available at level 3 and front of level 1 but not at level 2 east end or CB end.
We've already had the drop outsProbably more availability in July with DD defaults and drop outs etc.
That's what I was trying to say. I think match day sales were higher than that last season, and will be higher than that next season. We had about 36,500 seasoncard holders last season and a capacity of about 46,500 with about 1,500 away fans so I think match day sales were a bit higher than you estimatePlus they're not trying to sell every seat in the ground, just whatever the extensions increased the total by. I'd image the back rows of the third tier plus some of family stand will remain largely unsold, the same as last season. Matchday sales will be about 3-4k?
The biggest benefit of Premium will be priority for Champions League final tickets (when we eventually get there) and other key away games. CL final tickets on the black market stretch to thousands of pounds and carry a high risk of buying fakes!
The Club can't state that Premium season card holders will get this level of priority but we know it will happen.

I know that this will mean that I have not done enough research - but are you saying that there are benefits from being in the Premium seats above a padded seat and being in the location you want.
I jumped in for my family - but was on holiday at the time - so it was a bit of a gamble. I just assumed though that location and padded seat was it

you've said this a couple of times, always looking to the future, but the terms & conditions for the premiums seats specifically that there are no ticket queue jumpingTime will tell but we know last season that Blues in the expensive seats got first dibs on the much in demand Chelski away tickets (the river cruise!). I think this will happen more in the future as the Club needs to demonstrate the benefits of Premium and Corporate seats!

arguably there are far too many premium seats for this to work for away tckets as we routinely get a maximum of 3000 ticketsThat's right Squirty. I am thinking what will happen informally (rather than in Ts and Cs) for example when the Club tries to sell Premium seats as part of the North side expansion. We saw this with Chelski but this is not a guaranteed benefit.
Having been skint for much of my life supporting us, I don't mind paying Premium now I can afford it - if it helps the Club make affordable seats available in other parts of the ground. I know not many people are in this position.
