Wtf is going on?. 11th July and nobody of any note signed, and this latest collapse just goes to show us that we're in a real battle to get any of our top targets, if Delph doesn't even fancy us.

I'm hugely disappointed,i thought this lad was a superb addition and great business.There would have been many a game his energy/industry would have very useful.

I agree totally I live in the midlands and the local Villa fans are already hailing this episode as "Good conquering evil" and hailing him as a hero! I appreciate it is early doors but why isn't our PR Department managing these situations better and if the press are accurate in their assessment of our "recruitment drive" so far, then we should be concerned because it looks ham fisted at best...........
Personally I think they are oblivious to it all meaning they don't read or take note of any of the media bollocks... Being accommodating and letting some reporter free range accesses and one on ones to some of our star players is what we do, while a few days later the same media take the piss.. Bottom line being harsher to the media will not get us worse media headlines..

That's what I originally thought but all you here in the media is "City need to buy 8 English players"
The quota comes from the fact you are limited to a squad of 25 who are over 21 years of age. Out of those 25, a minimum of 8 have to be home grown (not English).

Have a look at England play when they're around the box. No creativity at all.

Think his point is that i.e. Chelsea have bought players (Fabregas and Matic) who directly strengthened their first XI, and the players already there became "squad players" or sold as a result.Teams win matches. Squads win titles.
Replacing a 4th choice midfielder (Fernando) with i.e. Delph, who would be the new 3rd/4th choice, obviously wouldn't make as much a difference as signing i.e. Pogba.
Even though you have a point, it's about time we improved our first eleven, and not just replacing a squad player with another squad player.
At least that's what I think he means, and he has a point.

Yes I know like Clichy for example, what I meant was I would rather name 17 non-hg and promote the likes of lopes, pozo, ihenacho etc rather than waste money on mediocrity like Fabian Delph or Danny Rose.Home grown players don't have to be English.

I know who he is. So does the owner of the site and various posters. We all vouch for him and his knowledge. That should be enough said. In fact there's not a single person who knows who he is who doesn't vouch for him. His record on here is also unsurpassed in accuracy
