Pozo

He just needs to play at this stage of his career. He won't get the chance with us so I think Derby is a good move. They play good football and have a good manager.
Has he been linked with Derby? I hadn't seen him linked with anyone. He's not the quickest or fastest player so I'd have thought he'd have a better chance to breaking out on the continent.

He hasn't been the same player since his injuries. Bit like what happened to Guidetti. Really bad timing.

But he is seriously talented. A loan would be ideal, then he will either sink or swim & we can decide what to do about him. There is no doubting this kid's talent. For some reason he isn't doing it.

Not sure if anyone else has been to Spain on holiday this year and seen this advert with our two young Spaniards!

Mrs Lazza saw it first and told me there was a Spanish advert with two City players in it, and I told her she was going mad....

Yep was there last week and saw it.

Think a Championship loan would give us a huge indication of his ability. Important he goes somewhere that he will play. Derby makes some sense, certainly with the injury to Will Hughes leaving them short in the CAM position. However, I worry just how regularly he would play there. Would imagine a Brentford style of football would suit him. Admittedly I don't know enough about their side to know if he would play mind.

Shame really but he was nothing special from what I saw from him as a City player. Wish him all the best and hopefully he'll come back to City as world class, one day.

Manu Garcia: that's the one who will make it here. Utter class that lad

I hate giving up on 19 year old kids. Maybe it is easy to tell if they have "it" or not, but I know that I was still growing and developing a lot (not as a soccer/football player, but still). Heck I grew an inch in height between 19 and 20 years old. While Pozo did look out of place last year, I'm not sure that he was that far off. I guess the people that see him daily have a pretty good idea if he has plateaued.

Wrote this on him. Honestly, it's the right call. He's just not come on at all sadly..

Didn't realise until I saw this just now. Truth be told, he was a very talented player but between his long injuries he just lost a bit of that spark, I don't think he was quite cut out for English Football and its a huge shame as there really was a great player in there. I hope he ends up having a good career, but I agree with the club on this one that it wouldn't be with us.

Good luck to him It is disappointing it hasn't quite worked out for the lad but he needs to kick-start his career and back in Spain is ideal.

Lopes and Pozo were 2 of our best prospects, they may not have been good enough but we never even gave them a fair chance to see what they were capable of. If we are going to overpay for average English players every summer instead of giving these guys a run in the first team squad then what is the point of the CFA? Before anyone mentions Ihenacho, Bony is injured, Aguero is not at his best, we are 2-0 up at home against Watford and he gets 2 minutes at the end. Not saying Lopes was the next Messi or anything but if arguably our best prospect can't make it then I can't see who will.

The CFA isn't for the short term and patience is the key. It is difficult to predict which EDS player is going to make it into the first team.
