All those years, all that shit I took when they were winning everything and it never dawned on me those successes would eventually leave their 'fans' unable to even slightly grasp the concept of failing.

The levels of delusion are hilarious. This is a club that have totally betrayed the principles of youth development they used as a stick to beat us with, so much so they don't even want to compete on those terms any more. But the fans don't care, they've got Schweinsteiger.

A club that have spent an absolute fortune and I'm not exactly sure what they have to show for it. With one recognised centre-forward and a midfielder at centre back, that squad has to be the most unbalanced of any of the top sides. What system are they trying to play? What are they trying to achieve? But the fans don't care, they've just resigned De Gea. A player that was desperate to leave and will, as soon as the Euro's cant be used as duress to force him to play.

When the current lunatic that manages them leaves, he is going to be replaced by a family man that has absolutely nothing on his cv that warrants him being placed in charge of a club that wants to compete at the highest stage. But the fans don't care because the Class of 92 will be reunited and glory will be automatic.

Off the pitch their debt is barely under control, their owners are out of touch and the club is being used to finance their real interests. But the fans don't care, they have more Facebook followers than anyone else.

This is a club that has truly lost it's way, it's soul even. Sure, they may have the odd spike of success over the coming years but the trend will be down until they address all of the above.

The most hilarious part though has to be how impervious most of their fans are to all of this. Decades of dominance has left them in cloud cuckoo land. The gradual realisation will be a thing of beauty to witness.

Had to cringe when he was singing "louis van gaal's army" and all the journos were were rolling on the floor with laughter. Apparently if you look like a turtle and are a fucking nutter then you are the next Lee Evans.

Why did nobody point out to him that they sang "David Moyes Red & White Army" too?

do we think Whatsisname needs to do anything else this season or is YPOTY already locked up ? United fans will think I'm taking the piss with that comment but when Welbeck scores 1 PL goal all season and gets in the England team you just never no.

love all the debates about is it the style of play or the grass roots or mental attitude why England never do well ? nope its cos we pick strikers who score 1 goal all year playing in a top 4 side and loads of other shite as they play for United

Martial is so good that Fellaini started up front ahead of him.

World class.

Not sure how the rest of the league is going to be able to cope with striking options that good.

Martial will definitely get European Golden Boy and YPOTY this season, despite the fact he'll have scored about 10 all season.

Sterling will be playing for the champions, making an impact in almost every game, but will still fall short of any recognition.

I actually said to my dad that starting Fellaini ahead of him was a masterstroke. Fellaini is so utterly shit, that when Martial came on it was impossible to not look like a superior player.

I'm pretty sure that was Van Gaal's thinking and he'll never be on the bench for the toilet brush again.

Jizzineye, Macheda, Powel, Cleverly, Wellbeck etc etc etc
All "world class" before they slowly realise they aren't and they are shipped off to Sunderland, Cardiff, Villa levels etc
Wasn't even a wondergoal, he had luck with the bobble of the ball that could have gone anywhere and no striker should miss from that range.

Edit: Even forgotten about the other world class one, the one who gives the ball away every 10 seconds and who was taken off at half time
And there is always Bebe who even playing in a cup game v Exeter looked out of his depth
I think you're being very unfair on the one man midfield a.k.a. Djemba Djemba, the new Duncan Edwards a.k.a. Phil Jones, Liam Miller, Rafael and his brother whose name escapes me, Mame Biram Diouf and Ben Foster.

Quick Taser to the bollocks should sort him out

Without sounding like I've got my red tinted specs on, and I'm being totally honest here. I have watched Schweinsteiger this season more than any other player, and he has controlled the midfield in every single game.
Controlled the midfield against who? He's only started 3 league games. I don't think anyone's arguing that he's not good enough to control the game against Anita and Colback, Cork and Shelvey, or even Liverpool without their best central midfielder. Although out of the three games in which he's "controlled the midfield" his team have only won one. The question is whether he can do the same thing against Ramsey, Carzola and Coquelin, Toure, Silva and Fernandinho, or Matic, Mikel and Fabregas. And the bigger question is whether he's actually controlling the midfield or the opponents are happy to let them have the ball. I'm confident that we could allow you the lions share of possession in the derby and still create many more goalscoring chances on the counter than you can passing it around in front of our team. I'm also confident that we could pass rings around you if Pellers wanted to go for that tactic instead.

Leonardo, one of the all time masters. Got even better when the rags signed him.
