Ok sorry. Nothing to see here, playing the odd hour every few months is more than satisfactory.

To be fair i agree with your point. I don't think id ever describe Kun as a liability as he is such a delight on the pitch. However, if these injuries continue and the evidence suggests that aren't going to just disapear, it is seriously inhibiting the side. Bony knows he is dropped as soon as Kun is back regardless of how he plays and 5 or 6 games and then dropped for a few months is not good enough for any kind of world class CF. If Bony played 30 PL games this season id imagine he'd score 20 goals for us, but he will never get any real confidence when he is out of the side every time Kun is fit. We either need a fit Kun or we need some stability in the side up front with another world class striker.

An absolutely fantastic player but the amount of injuries are now making him somewhat of a liability. Between him and Kompany, they're hardly ever fully fit and it's holding us back from getting into any sort of rhythm or settled team.

The big question is, who's available who would do as good of a job as a fit Aguero does? I'm struggling.
Aubameyang and Griezmann would be near the top of the list.

Starting to look like we're going to need another striker near his level to really see us through a season, Bony is a capable backup & good option from the bench but at this rate he'll be playing the majority of the season & I don't think he suits our style enough to be our main striker.

Still the hope that one of these days he'll stay injury free for a significant period of time but just never seems to happen sadly.

Aubameyang and Griezmann would be near the top of the list.

Aubameyang for me, but either would be ideal as they can also play wide - meaning rather than have them rot on the bench we could play them alongside Aguero when he's fit.

Some pain but should be ok for tuesday says mp

I'm holding the sides of my belly and doing my best Father Christmas impression. If the official prognosis is 'fit for Tuesday', then based on past experience I look forward to him not being quite ready for Swansea, just missing out on Arsenal, but standing a better than even chance of showing up for Sunderland......

These injuries are gonna stop him from ever hitting that next level unfortunately. Takes way too long to get going again when he comes back and by the time he's back, he's injured again

I find he comes back looking sharper than any other player i have seen in similar situations tbh, can't agree with you there bud.

When he got injured in December 2013 and last december he was being roundly applauded as the best out and out striker in the world and was rocking.
If he could follow these efforts up with no injuies the plaudits will write themselves.

Already one of the best to play the game and still plenty left in him to do more.

Me too,mp gets it wrong every time

Getting beyond a joke now. Would you take selling Aguero to Madrid if we had a open door to replace him with someone like Robert Lewandowski.

Isn't it likely that this is just precautionary and he's being saved for Tuesday? And maybe Yaya too? Not that I agree with it . . . but we do have a shitload of fixtures coming, including a huge one with that morally-superior North London club. Stoke likes to hack and chop. Bony's physical presence might be a better option anyway.

This forum never EVER ceases to amaze and disappoint me sometimes

Talking about replacing one of the best players ever to wear our shirt...who has never moaned or agitated for a move...who is a consummate professional...one of the best in the world and has pledged to see out his contract

Literally speechless

Agree with Aubameyang. Not seen enough of Griezmann, especially this season.

There's not many players I'd replace a fit Aguero with, but his injuries are becoming a huge problem and it must be addressed in the summer whether we win the league or not. It'd be such a joy to have a player of his quality available for most of the season, however his injury record is rapidly deteriorating and it's getting to the stage where he's unfit more often than he's fit which isn't good enough. Kompany is in the same boat too I'm afraid, however he would be easier to replace.

But he's hardly ever fit. Why is that so difficult to comprehend? I agree with every point you've made but it adds up to precisely fuck all if he's rarely available for selection and even less so for 90 minutes.
