I loved Gav's designs so much that I think anything else was going to be a disappointment. I'd still prefer Gav's designs to this, but I guess that's not an option now.

I think the leaked image on ipo looked really cartoony, this real life version still does a bit, but much less so.

A lot of blues seem to really like it, it's far from Everton's debacle, so there is no point fighting against it now.

It wouldn't have been my first choice by any means, but at least it looks like a City badge now, whereas the eagle never felt like that to me.

Good points. On a positive note, I like the border, the 1894 and the Manchester City. I like the ship. The shield is too american/australian and smacks too much of tarquin in the design studio getting all modern and contemporary. it should fit in the circle and the rose replaced with an eagle.

serious ? the rose looks great, why would you want the eagle there and how design wise would that look good ?

The credibility of our club is at stake? Seriously? Da Vinci could have designed our badge and most would still say it looks like a turd with a hernia.

Thanks for that mate, the badge and the kit mean a lot to me, that's why I take such a keen interest in those threads. I personally don't wear club merchandise, but the identity of the club is really important to me and those two things play a huge part in that.

However, I can't take any credit for teaching you anything about the club. Gary is the only man qualified to do that.

Even though he doesn't seem to be very fond of the new badge, I definitely agree @GeekinGav deserves huge credit for all his work over the years on here. His designs were one of the major things that triggered the debate and ultimately influenced the club to make this decision.

Even if he doesn't like the badge, I hope he can take some comfort in his hard work ultimately helping to make a lot of blues happy because the return to a round badge is overwhelmingly popular. Thanks Gav, please keep doing what you do.

What, the fuckwit bit? I was adding my thoughts, explaining to a previous poster who asked what people didn't like. I said it's not bad but not perfect. I then saw the photo and said I like it. Another random poster accuses me of not being happy because I prefer my own designs. Whether or not you like the word "fuckwit", I am far from having a tantrum. He's clearly decided to have a pop but got the wrong person and had a go at me for stating my opinion.

Why you now feel the need to get involved is anyone's guess.

He got the wrong person, why not just say "what are you talking about, I didn't do any designs"? Problem solved. I couldn't give a shit about what language you use but this is turning from a City supporter's forum to a meeting place for autistics with anger issues.
 
The badge has grown on me! I like it. Most importantly it's a lot better than the current one.

Now let's smash Sunderland
