I really don't know what to believe if I'm honest I've seen people here adamant we get nothing from the EU and will be 9 billion better off because it's just a middle man that skims the money and funnels it back to us. I am surprised it's 9 billion though to be honest(holy shit how is that paid?), anyone got a source for that out of interest?
Yet like I said vote in pamphlets(obviously biased but credible sources cited on every bullet point) saying for every £1 we put into the EU we get £10 back through increased trade, investment, jobs, growth and lower prices on goods. How will voting out affect our trade in Europe? Are 3 million jobs linked to exports to the EU going to be less secure afterwards? Will investment from EU countries decline(£66m a year)? Fuel 19p price rise just from leaving the EU real or bullshit?
Now I will be the first to admit I'm no expert on any of this but my concern is we are an Island Nation who exports very little and we import very heavily because we very much need to, so I don't think the stance of "meh we don't need anyone we're just fine on our own" is the best way to be(if we are better off that way then great though). We all want whats best for the UK, it's just difficult to see what that is in the long run.
