It's no secret that we're lacking leaders when Vincent isn't on the pitch and I don't think there are any stand out candidates outfield. For that reason, I'd guess Hart.

Most likely false ones *coughduncancastlescough* but they keep reappearing every few weeks.

Regardless of whether or not he stays on, he's been playing less and less games due to his injury problems and so I think there is a chance we'll either appoint a new captain or a proper vice captain rather than passing the armband from player to player to player to player like last season.

No way, Vinnie bleeds blue, he deserves to be captain as long as he's here.

We do however need a new vice captain with Yaya likely heading out, in which case I'd definitely pick Hart for that. Zaba as 3rd choice if he does stay.

Never like a keeper as captain as they can't be there with the ref every five minutes.

This is what I'd most likely go with. But, like SWP said above, I'm not a huge fan of having a keeper as captain.

To be honest, I don't even think it's massively important who wears the armband as long as we have leaders on the pitch. Last season, without Vinnie, we seemed to be lacking an outfield player who could grab the whole team by the scruff of the neck. I can't see anyone out of our current squad or rumoured signings who will fill the role as naturally as him.
 
So, what are the rumours? Can't see who'd buy him given his injury record.
