Let me be clear. I didn't and still don't want Pogba and I like what we're trying to do in the transfer market by buying multiple players instead of one big name. I don't think that he'd fit into Pep's system. At Bayern he had Thiago, Alonso and Vidal for the most part in the midfield. He isn't a Vidal with high energy or a Alonso who can ping passes like a deep lying play maker. So basically he may only do Thiago's job. The way I see it we already have guys similar to Thiago in Silva and Nasri. Gungogan can also play there.

I just think Dechumps didn't do him any favors and Maureen might do the same. If he went to Real he'd work out better because he'd have Modric and Casamerio playing with him in CM. Of course he doesn't justify his huge price tag. That's doesn't mean he's not talented.
 
You can't criticise Pogba for that performance. He and Matuidi did the job they were asked to do. Maybe that was overkill against a defensive team

Yes we can agree on that last bit. He's a talented player, but no where near the £100m tag. For that price, people expect a different level of player
. I wont mind us in for him at £50m, but more than twice that is money better spent elsewhere.
 
Played out of position... it's not that he had to play as a defender. 100Mil for a player that can play one position and one role - daylight robbery.
 
He's evidently talented, but the setup tonight crippled him. He's a potential star but he's worth half or even less of the money United are prepared to pay.

Didn't know too much about him before the tournament started but Renato Sanches looks the real deal. He has far more in his locker.
 
If he signs for the rags adidas will be happy kit suppliers to juventus but the premier league has a bigger audience marketing joy for them

Yes exactly. To me maybe for £40m to £50m.
 
For me a 100 million pound player is a Messi type....scares you to death with his dribbling skills, scores goals by the dozen and creates even more chances for your team mates....this is not a description of Pogba by a long way.

His proposed transfer fee is utterly ridiculous....yes, he is a very good and strong midfield player but, as someone said earlier, he is maybe worth 40 million.
 
well, it's not Johny comes late as I've said it few times here already but he is no 100m player, not even in a fucking dreamland.

Exactly what I was thinking. Bayern saved a lot of money buying him before the tournament began. Wish we had got him instead, this kid is without a doubt going to become a huge star.

Like I predicted, Pogba flopped this tournament. The thing I don't like about him is that he is selfish.

Pogba threw his hands up countless times when he was near the box and the ball wasn't passed to him, in this game and in other games, he thinks he's some prolific goal scorer. Mino and all the hype around him has gone to his head. He needs someone to put him down and tell him how is it if he is really going to fulfill his potential.

The £100m price tag is nothing but comedy. Won't score more than 10 goals in England or Spain and clearly doesn't control games.

Probably more than that given his age. But I agree. For £100m, you expect a 40 goal a season striker or a midfielder that gets 20 and creates the same again. Luis Suarez cost £65m just after he scored a goal a game in the PL and he scored 59 goals last season. When Bale went for a world record, he scored 26 goals as a winger/attacking midfielder. Before Neymar came to Barcelona, he'd already scored over 40 twice in Brazil, once as an 18 year old. Pogba got 9 goals and 12 assists for Juventus, which is obviously very good, but not ballon d'or numbers. Of course it's not all stats especially in his position, and he clearly has the talent, but at 23 years old, you should be starting to back it up with an end product.
 
Most overrated and overhyped player I have seen in a long time. Its evident that he believes in the hype judging by his melodramatic finger pointing on the pitch. There are far, far better ways to spend 100 mill.

Sometimes a great player will say fuck it we need to win this and do what he is best at sorry but i didn't see any of that tonight and completely anonymous for most of the game.

Even by his Juve standards which is a one horse race affair, he only scored 3 more goals and assisted 1 more than Milner, who played 7 games less and had a significantly higher number of chances created. If Pogba is £100m, how much is Milner worth.

Surely there's no reason other than money for a young player like Pogba to move from a genuine top 5 team in Europe to a team not even in the CL? Will they boo his every touch? Label him as everything wrong with the game? Will they fuck.

The funny thing is fans do whatever the media will tell them to do, hence the abuse Sterling always suffers. A player signing for man Utd will never be subjected to the same stuff, even with the ultra ridiculous price tag to his name.

Don't get me wrong, I rate Pogba but at €120m, no chance! For that kind of money you're in the Messi ball park (probably more tbf), but all the same Pogba is being priced out of the market.

Brilliant player, but totally unrealistic quoted transfer fee of €120m and €400k per week in wages on top.
 
Not a doubt in my mind that he is a good player, and I did want him last summer, but 100 million no fuck off Kroos is better and costs less.

He isn't even in the top 5 cms in my opinion
