Can't believe the small mindedness of some of our fans. Whatever happened to no man bigger than the club. Joe's been a good servent but we have the best manager in the world. A man who has an unparallelled ability to identify who is "with him" and who is "against him" very quickly.

He has sold Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Deco, Ibrahimovic and replaced them with players like Pedro with less ability but who are willing to run through walls for him.

You might not see it now but when Pep is finished every player will be playing for the shirt not just 3 or 4 like it is now.

Whats pissed me off the most is I and I bet others were absolutely buzzing for the season until all this. I knew there would be a lot of changes but this ain't one which wasrequired. Give the man who is a legend at the club a chance at least give him the season. If pep is the messiah he should be able to cope with one of the best goalies in the world. As I said put a needless dampener on the season. Hope it all works out but it's caused a split already.

But Aguero's won our affection without all that stuff. So you don't HAVE to 'be Mr Spokesman' or 'Mr City' to win over the fans.

I'm reluctant to suggest Joe's mouthy behind the scenes, because I genuinely have no idea if he is, or isn't, but I am minded of Ferguson's stance about very good players like Ince and Keane who the fans loved, but had just a bit too much to say too often, and thought they'd earned some right to question the manager. What we see on the pitch and the image a player creates for the media can be very different than the one behind closed doors.

Remember the Keane incident in the World Cup? some would say he was standing up for improvements in the Irish FA, but at the same time, he walked away from his teammates and left them to it when they needed him the most. Or 'Mr Chelsea' who had no qualms about shagging a former team mates ex - who knows what sort of dressing room dynamics that creates?

Again, I don't want to suggest Joe is similar to those examples, but what the fans see is a very limited glimpse.

I don't think you can just put our affection for Joe down to him being here for the journey and being English. He has constantly strived to maintain a relationship with the fans and could not have shown us any more respect. I love aguero for what he's done for City in footballing terms. Same with Silva. But they are both players who prefer to concentrate on their football. Which is fine, we need those type of players. But you can't possibly put them in the same sentence as Hart, Kompany and Zabaleta in terms of a genuine rapport with fans. And they are essential for the progression of our club in my opinion.

Your comments regarding similarities between Keane and Terry as you say are hard to comment on as we simply don't know. But I will say that Joe seems to love our club and love playing for us. It would be both sad and stupid to let him go so easily in my opinion.

When did you last see Messi screaming his head off? I'm not saying it's a bad thing to scream with passion (or anger), but you can win games without it.
And if Real Madrid came in for Joe tomorrow, I suspect he'd be very tempted to go. Would he really stick around at City?

United bought RvP - Mr Arsenal, and he effectively won them the league. The right player with the right skills and it resulted in a PL title. I don't think he'd run through a brick wall for them though.

Lol. Spit it out. You're saying it while trying not to be seen saying it. I agree with you by the way. It was one of Ferguson's greatest strengths. It was his way or the highway. A manager must always be in charge, the other way round is the road to hell.

Never said geological origins had anything to do with effort, but a long standing commitment to our club, and passed proof of 100% effort and professionalism when the number one slot was in question is already there as witnessed. Joe's ability with his feet is the only argument that is valid. Anyone questioning his professionalism is buying into media drive bias bullshit.

just my opinion but thats why the atmosphere was flat the other day. i understand the view we need a pass it out the back goalie, but i dont think most city fan want bravo or hart not in net.

Bit controversial but I've never had that affinity for Joe. something about him made him very hard to like just can't put my finger on it. Grateful for his stellar service to the club but simply time for a new challenge. Think he hasn't progressed as much as he could have partly because he thinks he is better than he already his sadly.

You're trying to derail the conversation now by talking about United players. Not getting involved with that.

I appreciate what Hart has done for us but he owes us a lot more than we owe him.

3 managers have now wanted rid of him (even Mark Hughes wasn't convinced as he signed Shay Given).

Rival fans think he is a liability for us because he is poor on his near post.

I didn't like it when he bollocked a 20 year old Nastasic away at Chelsea trying to cover his own mistake, I don't like it when he laughs as he picks the ball out of his net.

Been a great keeper for us but hope he leaves this window for his own sake otherwise he'll be having a long season in the reserves.

Some of you need to ask yourselves whether you support City or whether you support Hart/Kompany/Yaya FC.

I don't know. I don't know him personally.
I am a lifelong City fan, and I'd probably go (that will upset some). I wouldn't expect Joe to stay though and I'd understand it (putting the present situation aside).
The same with Aguero. If he said 'You know what, Real are calling, and deep down I think I will win more with them than with City' - I'd be gutted, but I'd understand it. I wouldn't expect him to be particularly loyal, and I don't think any player should expect us to be particularly loyal either. They all know how it works.

Joe's not good enough I'm afraid and keeping him at the club to sit on the bench and collect a pay cheque because he's a fan favourite is regressive. Not just for us but for Hart's career also.
