Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

They might not but the fact remains, UEFA are fully aware as will major sponsors be and its embarrassing for them and it annoys them as borne out by the fact they wanted to sanction us (again) not that long back.
Sponsors don't have a clue either, and why would it bother them ? their brand is still seen around the world. Its the same rules for every club and we are now well within them. Yes David Gill is a complete c*nt.
Think its time we put it to bed personally, just get behind the team and the wonderful football we are watching, Pep wasnt here for the punishments so its a clean slate

I agree with Pep anyway, but Pep is a fantastic coach hes never satisfied with what hes watching whatever the score, hes earning his dough, surely his opinion has a right to be considered and respected
Uefas horrible competition got City a cheque for £63 million last season

I appreciate Pep's point of view. And of those City fans who think the booing should stop.

But it's a carry on from me.

UEFA, Gill, and the Cartel have done everything in their power not only to destroy City's CL campaigns, but to also hold the club back on and off the pitch. That I can never forgive and forget.

They have bent their own rules to support their agenda against us, even reporting us for booing their anthem.

And as we all know, it looks as if the campaign isn't over yet, with new rules giving previous European Cup and CL winners extra ranking points and prize money, at our expense.(plus other clubs)

The have f***ed us over, and are continuing to f***us over, aided in no part by David Gill.

Enough said.
Our club has grown off the pitch beyond any of our dreams, I'm sure the club and all the other clubs will be fighting any changes that UEFA try and make. Its not just us that get punished.
Gill needs to go yes !!

O

Booing an anthem shouldn't affect the players, it didn't last season and it didn't tonight. We're not booing the performance, were booing uefa. The astmosphere seemed good last night, so the booing doesn't have a negative impact on the astmosphere. We've been screwed over by uefa and they're still looking to screw us over even more. I'm booing, simple as that.

What is your evidence that UEFA are still trying to screw us over? Get over it - there is no conspiracy! No matter who we get deawn against, its 11vs11, you have to beat the best to be the best!

Disagree on thee sponsors, however i do agree its time we moved on and stopped the booing although i wasn't left out of pocket after Moscow and feel for those that where and feel the club should have stepped in and reimbursed those who had shelled out as a good will gesture.

Pep is right but i dont think he was right in coming out with it last night in the circumstances thats all.

The boo's are pointless...as if anyone from UEFA even cares we boo their anthem.

Oh they care...that is why they discussed it and were considering fining us at one point for doing it. It is a corrupt organisation with an ex rag at the helm who are still trying to fix the revenue and advantages in favour of the old cartel.

We do seem to make it as hard as possible to buy tickets for games. Membership needs to be free, a sign up when you buy a ticket on line, an app or PDF print option should be available just like airline boarding passes. We would increasing the customer base dramatically, and that info would be by far more conducive to revenue than a customer sign on fee. Why dont we sell tickets in the City centre shop?

30,270 according to the Guardian. Can't be right? Looked a good crowd to me.

Whatever it will be 54,000 again at the weekend

Exceptional circumstances for last night's attendance, but overall it's become a tedious narrative.
Even 45k isn't too bad considering that we only increased our capacity last season.
I'm sure it will gradually increase, but surely we've got more important issues.

To all those saying stop booing the anthem I'd like to say one thing:

Go fuck yourselves you pathetic pricks.

Let's just remember why we're doing it specifically. It's for a group of people who spent time and not inconsiderable money going to a game they were sold tickets & travel for and weren't allowed to watch because of the high-handed attitude of UEFA. And nor were they compensated one penny, either by the club (who after all took their ticket money and didn't refund it) or UEFA. So when I boo I think about those guys I know, real fans not some of you plastic armchair ones, who lost a few hundred quid they'd spent to follow City.

And don't forget that this is an organisation that's shafted us in every way at every turn and still comes up with new ways to do so.

The one way we have to express our displeasure and to publicly shame them is to boo their stupid, arrogant "anthem" while the whole world is listening and watching.

The message about their shameless venality is getting through as well with the smaller associations voting in a real outsider as president. Who's to say that the booing played no part in that?

So Pep (who has managed two of the favoured clubs don't forget) should worry about managing the team and not stick his nose in to matters that concern the fans.

Couldn't agree more with Pep!

Im right behind the manager! We are doing everything we can to conquer Europe and the world! The fans have let the club down with poor support in Europe!

Time to rectify that! Come on Cityyyy! Stop the booing and start creating a hostile atmosphere towards our opposition!!!!
I've let nobody down.

Once he's been here a few more months,he will be saying what a great set of fans we are,not that he doesn't see it at present, but when a daft bastard journalist comes out with an idiotic question,he will stand to our defence, seen it happen before, and will happen with Pep as well.

He will soon realise that we are the best fans in the world,as well as the best team, perfect marriage

we had around 58% capacity last night, United after the bomb scare had around 59% capacity. was a good effort by everyone last night, however the ground should be full for the game on tuesday, therefore would be a much bigger crowd last night.

Is fucking right, someone has said it at last - Pep goes up in my estimations every single day.

Considering we'd won our first 6 games, just come off the back of beating them on their own patch, have a group of the best players in the world and arguably the best manager in the world, the turn out last night was shite.

I appreciate there were mitigating circumstances, but even before the rain and the postponement the club had decided not to open SS L3 as we couldn't sell it!!

I wouldn't mind if we genuinely didn't have enough fans, but you can bet your left bollock if we're back in the semis again it'll be a full house, with tickets like gold dust. Where are these 'fans' during the earlier rounds?

Re the booing, again I agree with Pep. I fully understand the booing, and have done it myself but its time to move on - the best way to really piss UEFA off is to win the fucking thing. Don't give the corrupt cunts the satisfaction, lets drown their shite song out with City songs, get behind the team and fucking win it!!

Though I agree with everything you said I cannot help but feel maybe he was asked to address it as part of his job.
