Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

Those that say that it is embarrassing for us to boo UEFA's anthem should grow a pair, isn't every demonstration? Our message is out there & is now getting reported correctly, with only UEFA, the rags & Pep being in disagreement with us. As Samuel says, their corruption is still self-evident, with the new share of the Champions League spoils being skewed in favour of the old guard, how the f*** can that be fair? We go on....

Well, Pep loves this trophy, can't blame him.

Could not agree more with what Martin Samuel has said. Undoubtedly every fan is grateful for the football were watching but Pep has and will be with is for only a short period of time so we should not surender what we believe in or our right to protest based on his request.

It might only be a boo, but I am sure there have been many google searches, asking why we boo and highlighting our disdain which can only be a good thing. If, as a consequence, the message of UEFAs corruption spreads it is well worth it. This is a City founded on protest, be it the Chartists, Suffragettes, Peterloo. Regardless of what Pep thinks Its the right thing to do and I think we would look pretty weak if we stopped.

I'm glad he sees it how it is. Peps been here two minutes, got us playing great football and winning games. I don't agree with him telling the fans not to boo, we've had to put up with uefa's corrupt ways for years now.
Samuel brought up an angle which I hadn't considered. Pep was at 2 of the old order clubs which UEFA are trying to preserve the position of. Also, those two clubs were recipient of part of the fines levied upon us.

Samuel is wrong and a bit of a populist fraud when it comes to his editorials against UEFA.

As a group of supporters we should take our cues from our manager. Not a journalist.

I do not think we are taking our cues from a journalist. Samuel might agree but he was certainly not the instigator.
Its showing a minute of contempt of an organisation hellbent on representing the chosen few and devaluing sport as a consequence. I think Pep is wrong in this instance.

Correct, he needs to keep it fuckin zipped regarding this issue.

I am of the opinion that although Uefa are a bunch of twats, we should just resign the booing to history now, we've made our point.
I mean how long do we do it for? Do we still do it the year after we win the trophy? Or would we look more like cunts if we only stop after we've won it?

It's not a case of manning up and growing a pair, its a case of growing up. Or are we going to cry about it forever?

We could just drown it out singing Bluemoon.

Paul Lake also pointed out on some podcast or other that booing if not psychologically helpful before any match never mind one against tough opponents and those small details can make the difference between a correct decision for a pass or shot which can ultimately decide if we win the game and progress in the competition.

Surely it would also affect the opposition also which could be the difference between a correct decision or pass or shot which could ultimately decide if we win the game and progress in the conpetition.

We should take our cues from ourselves, we make our minds up as individuals and are not influenced or shouldn't be by anybody else.

Funny. It goes without saying people will make their own minds up.

But it isn't rocket science or controversial to suggest listening to the best manager in the world who's got a vested interest in doing what's best for our team and our players. We're there to support the team he manages. Not protest the things about modern football that upset us.

Sure that goes without saying. But if you're going to listen to someone. Listen to the bloke who is in charge of our team and who could be effected by the booing.

We would be better off doing the Poznan as others have said. At least that always followed by raucous Chants of City that Prp and Gundogan will realise are positive. The lads deserve our full support eg Silva standing up to Fellaini in the Derby.
