If I get five minutes, I'll look at his goals per game ratio for Spain compared for us, should be interesting and probably frustrating in equal measure
1 every 6 in all comps for us
1 every 3.5 in competitive fixtures for Spain

He did score 12 PL goals in the 14/15 season, perhaps he played a different role than normal that season?

And I bet most of those "assisting the assister" come when he has a good sight of goal but fails to shoot and passes to the person who gets the assist.
When you see him, ask him why Yaya Toure has as many league goals in one game (2) as he's got in his last 33. Ask him why he's frightened to shoot when he's wearing a City shirt yet scores regularly for Spain.
I'm genuinely interested to know the answer because if he was scoring 12-15 goals a season then he'd be up there as an absolute all-time great in my eyes.
Well he would say that.Aguero has named Silva as one of the most exciting players he has played with; "we get along well and understand each other very well."
I'm sure he means it,the players have always loved himWell he would say that.
That's what I meant, it's true :)I'm sure he means it,the players have always loved him
Ah right,senior moment lolThat's what I meant, it's true :)
Nah I kind of set you up for that one :)Ah right, senior moment lol
I'm genuinely interested why you think 12-15 goals a season is a prerequisite for greatness.
Wasn't that the season we lost Džeko, Sergio and Jovetic at the same time and Silva/Milner were interchanging up front? I think it's a bit of a stretch to expect that when he's playing as the middle positioned midfielder in a 3 as he has been this season. We know he can score and he also got 12 a couple of seasons ago which is why it frustrates the hell out of me when he has a clear chance and won't do so. He can score great goals.
I agree the situation was different but even now, how many times is he in a great position but won't shoot? If he shot and put away 1 in 4, he'd easily get double figures.Wasn't that the season we lost Džeko, Sergio and Jovetic at the same time and Silva/Milner were interchanging up front? Maybe. What effect would it have on our overall play?I agree the situation was different but even now, how many times is he in a great position but won't shoot? If he shot and put away 1 in 4, he'd easily get double figures.

Never turns up in big games!
Pretty much the same as Ozil, better than KDB & Hazard
7 of those were in the 6 years box and he played almost as a 2nd striker for God know how many games....
Are you really using KDB as a comparison?? Lol
When have I said he isn't? As good as he is my argument is that he could and should be even better. He should, as an attacking midfield player, be scoring 12 goals a season. And then he truly would be one of the all-time greats.FFS Prestwich, enough with the never ending Clarkie. We can opine on who is better, Yaya or Silva or DeBryune or Silva. An opinions may differ. But Silva is a great player. Even the blind can see that.
Hang on, so now he's got to not just score, but score from outside the 6 yard box?
For some reason I'd forgotten those <6 yard goals don't count. Someone should revise Aguero's goal count from 150 down to about 80 I suppose.
No, if you look really really hard you can see Sky made the comparison.
