I can't be certain precisely which year it was, since I was but a wee lad and I'd been attending various matches before then, so it all blurs together... but it was around 90-91.
They've really learned nothing from having Liverpool fans taunt them with 18 titles for all those years. The more you ram it down people's throats, the sillier you look when you're eventually toppled.
These three games are not even close to being the most important in our history. You'd even struggle to make an argument that they're the most important games of this season.
When a three match ban is handed out retrospectively, one of those games could be saved for the next time the player faces the same opposition in domestic competition.
It's not a perfect idea, but I really hate the current system.
Not really the same thing due to the different ways the men and women's games have been treated historically. I don't recall the head of FIFA calling for men to wear more revealing shorts.
The first few matches blend together because I was so young, so I can't recall the opposition. I believe I was about 5, so it was probably the 89/90 season.
I witness racism on a weekly basis in Oldham, so I'd appreciate that particular problem being "rammed down people's throats" more than it currently is.
De Bruyne, Delph, and Aguero seem to have the least obvious technique discrepancies between "stronger" and "weaker" feet in our squad. Can't think of anyone else off the top of my head right now.
As far as the topic goes, Dzeko's 4th vs Spurs is the one that immediately springs to mind.
