I've seen plenty of British tourists treat their hosts like shit. And behave like twats in their own country. I've seen many American tourists act like they own the place when on holiday. That doesn't mean all Americans are twats. Far from it. I've encountered some arrogant Germans here and there, but always felt welcomed when visiting Germany.
There are many Russians who do not support Putin and his aggression, but are powerless to force any change.

And back to your original post : I know plenty of Russians who are anything but "disgusting", and who have absolute respect for human life.

Still making facile generalisations. There are plenty of people in this country who are shit stains. And plenty who aren't. It's important to have an enemy "over there" to hate and vent spleen on though. All in a neat package. No nuance. No complications.
The Ukrainians I know also understand this.

In order to be rich enough to go to Sri Lanka, a Russian has to be a corrupt criminal.

Imagine if the criminal class were the only Britons you ever met.
 
A little late but some self reflection is always good.

Nationalist are realizing that there are a LOT of Putin lapdogs inside them and they are starting to purge it. Don't be surprised if Le Pen thinks the same. The issue?

What happens if is too late and Putin's lapdogs starts to move and destroy the image of the nationalists? Also those lapdogs would start to feed the separatists like Reform/ Farage!

Probably already happening..
