City vs Bayern Munich Post match Thread

Crazy but true; I hope we we will learn from this and become a better team.. Manuel set out an attacking line up aiming to win the game, this is a Spanish trait, in Spain teams rarely set up for a draw even when playing the 'super clubs' because the overriding philosophy is that one win is...

The Derby at the Swamp Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: The Deby at the Swamp Post Match Discussion Thread It was like playing Stoke on one of their slightly better days, I thought we outclassed them again. If all they can throw at us is setpieces and long balls then truly the tide has turned. Viva football!!!!!!

Wouldn't disagree apart from Nastibitch needing some pies. A Morrissonesque physique is considered passe in todays prem!

Zabba played in 3 positions and loooked comfy , if Merlin had played him through for a wundergoal about 87 mimns in it would have been an epic City moment!

We are so much better at coming from a position of adversity. even when we were well clear and cruising before Chtrimbo it just didn't feel like we were really going to do it, even when rag scum at work were lying on their backs waiting to ge their tummies tickled after the 6-1, I never really...

    5 points clear not eight,

Super Mario Balotelli, Stick with him.

Proper, proper world class talent and promise in a sea of mediocrity, City have a few class acts, e.g. Merlin and YaYa but in the prem there aren't too many with Mario's presence. Bale is one, Shrek on his day (baulk, sorry!), Drogba(faded), RVP(flawed), not too many others I can get excited...

Aguero or Tevez, who is better?

No contest, Tevez scored a good few goals so his stats look great but dont forget he took all the pens and no-one else was scoring at the time. Having said that he didn't have the class to feed him and often dragged us to a win on his own back. I still believe sergio has more scope and is much...

Fulham biggest ever city support at Etihad

I seem to remember last year we entered into some humorous badinage with a delicate looking chap in white. Anyone else recalll this? Be nice if he comes again this year. It's one of the pleasures of watching the teams with ridiculously few travelling supportesrs, its like seeing old freinds...

The who will be sent off for tonights game?? "STAR" prize!!!

Joe Hart for saving a shot with his hands? Sergio Aguero for scoring with his left foot? Stefan Savic for coming from the Balkans? Bobby Manc for expressing mild dissapointment at having to play the last 80 miniutes with 8 men?

City players overrated by City fans?

From the list of all time greats would it be sacrillege to suggest Francis Lee might have been overrated? I've seen Tev mentioned a few times and if you examine the impressive goalscoring records both knocked in a fair few penalties and missed a fair few sitters as well.

    This Adebayor fellow..

Sorry, cannot accept he's better than Edin, Dzeko has much more scope and serves a purpose as a target man, can hold up the play and bring others in, also he can head the ball, Adebayor had a curious gift of getting 6" shorter when he jumped, on the plus side he did father Shrek's child though.

    el ratto

The rat boy looked embarassed, a bit like a sad uncle with a high tech karaoke machine at the wedding disco. Mancini was almost immortal if only he had said "Gary who?"
