    General Astronomy

The Earth only has one known moon, Cruithne is in an eccentric orbit around the Sun which makes it appear to be in orbit around the Earth at certain times of the year. According to QI the one thing you can definately say about the show is that it is often wrong.

    Italy v England | Euro 2020 Final

I'm not a big England fan, I'm not that patriotic and I don't usualy find it a very exciting experience watching them. Although in the end it could have gone either way the right (best) team won. Setup from the begining to defend with no creativity and insufficient technical ability in the team...

    Seasoncard - 2021/22

I don't have a phone, smart or otherwise, it's not that I'm a technophobe, I simply don't have a use for one and I don't see why I should have to buy one just to go to a football match when the club could just provide me with a card.

How are we all feeling about our club today?

Interesting post and gives very plausable answeres to some of my questions about this, I agree about it being a rock and a hard place decision, hopefully we've got out of it without too much lasting damage to the clubs reputation.

Poll | Our involvement in proposed Super League (TSL)

I'm still not sure what to make of all this, I've always been a firm believer in cock-up theory rather than conspiracy myself. But having now read the apology and some of what Perez has been ranting, I think City thought there was a real danger that this attempt at setting up a closed ESL might...

    Ron Saunders RIP

Probably the wrong appointment for both parties. I remember reading an interview with him somewhere, he said Swales had told him to "do it his way" which he took to mean "get tough" only for Swales to sack him for being too tough. Rather slimey of Swales though to make it look like the players...

    Club Badge (merged)

My 10 year old son loves the eagle and will probably get very upset if they drop it, personaly I hated it at first but now I've got used to it and don't really care either way, we both hate the stars though. I think a lot of youngsters who have grown up with the current badge (like my son) will...

    Are these cars illegally parked..

I always thought it depended on local bye laws, so the police couldn't do you for it but a council officer could. Not only does it make life difficult for people in wheel chairs or pushing prams, over time it also damages the pavement, if someone injures themselves by tripping on the damaged...

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

The stadium has to be full or near full enough times in the season to justify the expense of increasing capacity, this of course is a judgement that can only be made by the people putting the money in. Some people have criticised the architecture, I think it's unfair to compere it to stadiums...

1980's playground computer wars - ZX Spectrum v Commodore 64

Re: 1980's playground computer wars - ZX Spectrum v Commodor Dark Star was produced by Design Design (no that's not a typo) who everyone was always confusing with Denton Designs, it was programmed by a scary man called Simon Brattel who only worked at night and slept by day, he usually began...

    Scholes, ITV disgrace

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet (I haven't read the whole thread), the official capacity of the ground is 48k, but we loose a few hundred seats due to segragation, then this season we've lost about an extra 3k or so because of the building work, on top of this the capacity has to be...

Brian Clarke Piccadilly Radio City Commentator

I remember after Docherty really laying into Paul Stewart one week, Stewarts brother, a semi pro playing for (I think) Altrincham, phoned in and had a right go back, the next day Docherty was appointed as Altrincham's boss! When I first started going to games in the early 80's Sweeny was the...

    List of City Captains

Ali B I think was the regular captain for the final season at MR, but my memory could be a bit flaky, I also seem to remember him leading out the team for the freindly against Barca.

    List of City Captains

I don't remember Mick McCarthy being captain, but some I do remember include, Kenny Clemments who took over from Paul Power, Kit Symons who spent a while as club captain but not the captain on the pitch due to him being a bit rubbish, which led to Richard Edghill, Kevin Horlock and Ged Wiekens...

    Buying Success: Discuss

After the takeover we were other fans were queing up to tell us that we wouldn't be able to buy success no matter how much we spent. Now we are successfull and they're queing up to tell us we've bought the success. Spending money dosen't guarantee success, but I can't think of a single...

It's all about goal difference: City for the title

I noticed that someone further up the thread mentioned that defence dosen't win titles, but with both teams scoring about the same number of goals, we had superior goal difference because we could defend, and in fact Liverpool's failiure against Palace was in their inability to defend.

Davies Out, Pearce In,Pearce Out, Big Dougie In!

Re: Davies Out, Pearce In. Starting next season. Not Sven. I thought his contract ran out, Wardle was desperate to sell up and was cheesed off that Pearce had taken on the England U21s, so no new contract was offered. Given the dire financial straights the club was in, SP did a miraculous job...

Download Full Game | Man City Sunderland (02/03/12) HD

Is there any chance someone could do a standard definition download? These files are so big it's impossible to download them.

    I <3 City

My 8yr old son had tears running down his face whilst we were 2-0 down to Watford in the FAC, he's just not used to the thought we might loose a game. I remember comming away from yet another defeat back in 97/98 wondering if there was a team in the country we couldn't loose to.
