    Micah Richards the pundit

So you're not suggesting he's only got the job because he's black?

    Mark ne-Francois-pas Twitter parody.

As convincing as his attempts at parkour?

It's not that, I just think it's neither good nor bad news! Nothing to get excited over anyway

Think this says more about the American grasp of reality than our standing.

    Hong Kong and Security Law

I think this is an awful signal to send out the day after we voted to end free movement ;)

    Keir Starmer

True, but then he's between a rock and a hard place on this in the sense that he'd have got equally damning headlines had he gone the other way and pissed off his metropolitan base with "Starmer votes to end free movement". My guess is playing to that base here, and hoping Patel and co fuck it up.

    Keir Starmer

Yeah, I agree. Will definitely suffer in the short-term as Patel got her 'denying the will of the people' line in. Fair play to her. But I don't think it's going to do him any harm in the long-term to oppose different aspects of Brexit legislation if it turns out to be a disaster. If the...

Not really. If Brexit develops from the current badly managed fiasco into something worse, should people stop complaining because of the result of the 2016 referendum? If anything the case to re-evaluate our decision will be stronger. The problem with a binary choice on a non-binary issue is...

    The Labour Party

I'd similarly like to see a break up of the main parties, and see a broader range of views/causes given a voice. However, I think that needs to be preceded by electoral reform, which is a whole other kettle of worms.

    Keir Starmer

I agree, but his lack of spark is somewhat compensated by Boris' real talent for looking clueless. Being routinely shown up and your only discernible talent being to occasionally use a word that most people don't know will hopefully wear the electorate down over time and have Starmer seen as a...

Very vague memories of being at this Chems gig from 2000!

Certainly. In fairness, I don’t think calculations were Theresa’s strong point.

How utterly charming. And you don’t need to be an expert on Northern Irish politics to know the DUP confidence and supply deal was to help the tories get stuff through the commons.

George Floyd murder / Derek Chauvin guilty of murder

The sad thing is that we live in a world where a bloke could plausibly think that a particular knot tying, that looked like a noose, was aimed at him.

    Micah Richards the pundit

I heard it as... if Foden was going on loan it would have to be the right loan, not in a team chasing shadows etc, and that he's learning lots here... ergo there isn't likely to be a right loan for him. Not sure why people are keen to jump on Micah for it. Also, great to see Micah on the telly...

Tend to agree. We might want a “free customs area” or whatever we’ve tried to dress up another extension as, but can’t see the EU willing to play along again. (Unless of course it comes with budgetary contributions)

    COVID-19 — Coronavirus

Yep. Whilst obviously you don't want this kind of news, you want to be able to discover new cases and act on them quickly. Which seems to be happening as they're localising lockdowns. Which is what I believe was touted as a potential measure here in the future.

Cheers. Whilst I enjoyed last night, looking forward to watching a game with a crowd again.

Champions League QF Draw - Lyon

Apologies if this has been covered, but given Portugal seemed to be way ahead of us, would the games in Lisbon be behind closed doors, or open to local ticketholders? Would give it a bit of a World Cup type atmosphere, and Bernardo/Cancelo might swing us a bit of home support.
