Who could be our media mouthpiece?

Do we really need someone fighting our corner? I think Neville especially will give credit when it's due. The sad fact is that Sky employ ex players who have enjoyed high profiles to cover Premiership games and City haven't had many since the Premiership started. But I'm quite happy our players...

    When we play United..

Before my time but my Dad went and still talks about it to this day and he's nearly 75 now. And yes he did.

    When we play United..

It's almost 46 years to the day we won 3-1 at Old Trafford on the way to winning the title in 1968,

    Adoption

I have a friend who adopted a little girl a couple of years ago and the process that they had to go through was so long winded it was incredible. At times I wondered if she was going to give up but she didn't. However one of the sacrifices they had to make was move out of Manchester because they...

    Pork Scratchings

I used to work in Scotland with a few lads from the Black Country and when they went home I always got them to bring me back a big bag of Scratchings from the local butcher. Far nicer than the ones you get in a shop.

-- Sat Mar 08, 2014 5:19 pm --

Wolverhampton, Dudley...

    Some Of Our Fans

City fans fighting each other is hardly a new thing is it? It's been going on for years. Thankfully it's not a mainstay but I've seen it plenty of times before even going back to Maine Road.

    The Waiting List

I was going to ask about this? will my second payment (I signed up at the end of last month) just be automatically deducted from my account? As of yet the club haven't emailed me anything.

Guvnors - micky francis with peter walsh (book)

I have the first copy of Rodneys book. The one that is impossible to read but I've since learned it's been reprinted with all the errors sorted out so I'm looking forward to having a read of that. Mickeys book seems like it's been around for years. Still always interesting to pick up every now...

    Living payday to payday.

Times like tonight makes me feel glad I'm in good credit with Whalley Ranges takeaways otherwise I'd be bloody hungry.

To See Us Lift The League Cup Will Be A Dream Come True

A lot to say for that actually mate. Talking on the phone to my Dad this afternoon and he can recall the 70 and 76 League Cup Finals like they were yesterday but was sketchy about the Wolves game in 74. He's now 74 and went to all three games, can describe Pardoe scoring in 1970 and the build up...

The biggest away following at City?

Some of the comments in the Chelsea threads have inspired this! so what do you think has been the largest away following you've seen at City? Obviously these game's will have been at Maine Road rather than the Etihad for the majority of us. Apart from the obvious fixtures against the Rags...

2 guys on the floor near Mary Dees

No I wasn't on any coach mate but I've spoken to many well known City names of that period who went and they assured me it was a rough weekend. I can also recall vaguely the trouble at the night match in 84 (Friday night IIRC) that they arrived in huge numbers and caused problems and again in 89.

2 guys on the floor near Mary Dees

I think anyone who recalls the 1986 Full Members Cup Final know's what Chelsea fan's can be like? I was only eleven but can still recall the scenes today. Especially outside with herds of Chelsea fans rampaging through peoples gardens hunting down City fans like wild animals. The recent success...

    It could've been us

The fact that the whole heritage of the club has been airbrushed away is pretty serious in my eyes to be fair. If City suddenly started playing in a colour that was totally alien I'd not be happy. I'm not saying I'd support another team but I can understand the feelings of the Cardiff fans.

Which of our previous players would improve City today?

Shame Trevor Francis never stayed fit for a decent spell when he was with us.

Which of our previous players would improve City today?

Some surprising and silly answers on here but that's a great shout. All the histrionics between him and Keegan mask's the fact when we had him we had a world class striker at his best. I'd have him over Dzeko all day long. He'd gobble up the chances this team creates rather than blazing five or...

Which of our previous players would improve City today?

Apologies in advance if this has been debated before. Listening to Fred Eyre a few weeks ago and this question was put to him in reference to Lee, Bell and Summerbee. The answers were quite clear - Colin Bell would walk into the side. Also so would Buzzer but Aguero would get in ahead of Francis...

    Ian Brightwell

Very under rated player and in my opinion the best of the 86 Youth Cup side behind Lakey. And as been previously mentioned a top, top fella who is Blue to the core.
