who mentioned being a 'proper fan'?
last year i bought an ipod touch, two weeks later they brought out a new model with size of memory i really needed
are apple at fault?
should i have waited?
is it just one of those things?
should i not bother getting anything i want in case of disappointment or they bring out a better deal?
life isn't a bed of roses, but comparing oneself to someone else's life/luck destroys ourself

I really don't know what to say to that.
lol (in a good way)

The suggestion of me not getting a season ticket is daft but i think we should be rewarded more than people who just go to a few games, irrelevant of the reason for this however i do agree they are likely to do something for us next year it may be me being selfish but all fans should be treated the same.

I don't get this point of view. My 'reward' for buying a season ticket is 19 league games. I know exactly what I'm going to get, I know exactly what I am going to pay, and I know that over the course of the season it will be cheaper than paying per game (and I won't have to faff about and worry about missing out).

I don't expect MCFC to feel in any way 'grateful' to me for purchasing their product, or feel the need to 'reward' me for being kind enough to go to the games.

I don't do it as a favour to them, I do it because I fucking love it and it's worth the money.

cant beleive people are complaining about this i guess its aimed at people like me I have paid £30 - £45 for every game i been to this season to sit in crap areas of the ground with a crap view and no atmosphere but now its £10 il def be there becaus ethat is value.

realisticly people are getting sick of paying £47 to sit in the third tier

thanks city

But it's not it!

Who in future is going to pay £47 for a ticket on a Monday, if they know they are going to be on sale for £10 on the Tuesday???!!

But that's not your worry, is it?

Let the club concern themselves about ticket prices... I mean, they could charge everyone a tenner a game and it would make little difference to our financial position.

And if people do decide to leave it to the last minute to see if there are any bargains going... so what?

The airlines, the tourist industry, lots of commercial organisations... have all used this policy.

And I don't once remember anyone saying that it was "embarrassing" when Easyjet charged £20 for a flight to Dublin.

You really do have to get into the modern world mate. It's called capitalism.

As long as you are there, looking around at a full stadium, a charged atmosphere... it will make the price of your season ticket look like a bargain!

It is generally not a good idea to try and sell a product at too high a price and be left with surplus stock which is then hurriedly sold off at cost price

It reflects a poor marketing/sales strategy. It's a business error.

Well said. A few thousand people like you and Bob's your uncle, we have a full house.

Hope as many Manc based blues drag their family and friends along. Most people need advance notice

In normal circumstances it would devalue a season ticket, but the club know that next season the pressure on tickets will be even higher.

Yeah, but the customer benefits. Those who have waited are now going to get a ticket for a tenner.

And that has got to be a good thing, right?

The club sell a couple of thousand tickets they would not otherwise have sold, the supporters get a bit of a deal... everyone's a winner... yes?

Or are you one of those bitter people who despise anyone else getting any good fortune? Are you angry that you didn't get a £10 seat? Is that what this is all about?

And for you to quote all that marketing strategy gobbledegook at me (and me a former MIM), please re-read what you said and think long and hard about it... it's nonsense.

You generally only post on here to air your grievances at Shinawatra and his Human Rights transgressions... suggesting that you're a bit of a socialist... yet here you are now demanding that the poorer City fans be excluded from the stadium... because the ticketing policy and strategy isn't to your liking.

Good grief man, and you have the audacity to claim that you are City's most positive supporter!

Bah humbug!

At least I now why I can't even give my season ticket's away for tomorrow. (offer is still there if even the tenner is a bit much or you suffer vertigo)

There's some seriously small minded selfish individuals out there to cast a negative spin on this.
