Silly thread? It's a discussion about a player who has for the most part been a massive disappointment. "Silly" would infer he has been a success which unless you are being a fanboy he hasn't. It's when the likes of De Bruyne and Rodri are missing that Jack should have stepped up to the plate and chipped in with something a bit more than a few free kicks that are fuck all good to us anyway. Far to comfortable in the role of bit part player. He's not alone mind you but some of the others at least have contributed goals and assists in the past.

He was bought for ball retention and ball circulation to prevent counterattacks. That's why Pep got rid of Sterling and Sane because they kept losing the ball way too much because they're both explosive wingers who take risks. That's why he always plays Grealish on the left and Bernardo on the right in big games to have full control of ball possession.

Best football we played last season, for me, was the opening 20 minutes away at FC Copenhagen. It was as close as we had come to the set up that destroyed Real Madrid, moving the ball and opponent all over the shop. Alas, a recurring injury to Grealish saw it come abruptly to an end. Really hope he can go on a prolonged run of games and then we can get back to that system.

What, you want to be left to whine and moan about a player in peace. Sorry if I think people are chatting shite I'll be here to tell them. Obviously Pep knows better, to think otherwise shows the lack of self awareness I alluded to.
