10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

Not bothered. If he chooses to play for England and comes back unfit then he will have to live with the fall out and that could include a parting of the ways at some point.

Club first especially when u have been missing in action through an injury crises.

Players come and go, anyone who is not committed can go for me.

Stupid decision to bring unwanted attention from the boss at a time when he is looking players to come back into the team and step up. He dont forget things like this. Expect to see Doku and savio start most games.

Edit: watched pep interview and he is fucking annoyed. Grealish is an idiot. Injured and his time with us has been frustrating. For him to want to go speaks volumes. Iv always stuck up for him but this is fucking stupid and imo he will regret this.

You need everyone in the trenches at this time and for him to arrive back and then say to pep he is going, as I said idiotic and a clear message he is not to be relied on.

Spurs or Villa in 18 months.
Pure guesswork, but I wonder if Jack was the one that Pep was “digging out” when he talked the other week about players who should be available that weren’t. Maybe Jack lost focus with having a new baby, few niggles that suited him to not be training and available, Pep not happy. Jack knows it was him that Pep was having a pop at so happily makes himself available for England and classes 20 mins of training today as being good enough to pass the test of being fit.

Whatever the truth, there’s something weird going on, I always got the impression from interviews that every player says how close they bond with Pep, so suddenly for a player to not feel he can discuss his availability for the national side with Pep speaks volumes.

that is pure speculation. if u watched the whole interview Pep clearly stated Grealish got injured the next day after wolves game and was nursing injury ever since until recently started training inside.

Those speculation about new baby and even his partner are so strange. Grealish revealed that he flew directly to Newcastle after midnight on the day his child was born to not miss a game. How could anyone lable him "lost focus" because of a baby?

I am a bit upset by the speculation around the influence of his baby and partner on this particular issue. My sis did not get her deserved promotion when she had a baby because everyone just easily labeled her "lost focus" etc while the male candidate did nothing better than her.

According to Pep, Grealish got a groin injury. 17 days not training. Similar to all other groin injury cases we have seen many times - 2~3 weeks out.

Some other posters even spread here and on X about him and Walker showing up drunken in training after wolves. Now we know it is a lie. Grealish was in the treatment room and how he could show up drunken on the training pitch?

Normally for a player just returning from injury I'd agree with using internationals for fitness however pep's suggesting he hasn't returned from injury yet by claiming he's not available for tomorrow so he shouldnt be going with England.

He hasn't played well so far this season, we have many injuries and the whole team look a mess. We should be using the internationals to get as many of the squad as possible on the pitch with Pep for a week for both fitness and tactical training. Grealish not playing for 6 games in the run up is an easy withdrawal and extra man available lr in training next week, or at least it should be.

About time some of these players, including but not exclusively Grealish, put their club first for once before we fuck up our season.

Last season, Pep's biggest mistake was to start Grealish in the 2nd leg vs Real. He contributed nothing and we wasted 60-70 minutes, which helped Real to survive.

Grealish helped us with the Treble with a really good 2nd half of the 22/23 season. He has been largely disappointing, those several months aside. Personally, I expected much more from him and defended him in his 1st season.

Let's hope he returns stronger than ever and helps us to compete for the big trophies again. He has the attributes.
I agree. This is not Messi we are talking about. He has had half a great season in 3 and a bit years.

Get rid of this clown. A massive flop anyway.

Heard something similar earlier today, but it didn't register till now and I am still not sure if is legit. Someone even said, we should aim for a swap deal for Van De Ven.
Swap deal are fantasties so come out of it.
Even if they are real, spurs are spurs not idiots to part their valuable asset for Grealish who is on £300k

If he is not available for his club how the hell can he go on international duty?

What happened to the rule of when a player misses his clubs game before the International break he withdraws?

Something very strange with this one, someone is telling porkies.

As suspected, it’s all about timing. Grealish is back in time for the medical staff to give him the all clear, but he’s not played in 2 weeks.

Pep wants him to pull out and Grealish wants to play for his country.

Guess it’ll only really be an issue if he comes back injured.
I doubt it, the damage was done to their relationship the moment Jack was too stupid to realise he should have turned down the England call up on this occasion.
