His first season was unquestionably his best and most effective , since his knee injury he hasnt looked the same player , a couple of seasons ago Stones was making similar mistakes as Laporte did today and he has come back stronger , so i am not writing off Laporte just yet, still a valuable member of the squad. The Dias/Stones partnership has looked unbeatable since Dias arrived , will be nice to see them back together for the Derby game against the geriatric Rag forwards.One of the most overrated players in our squad.
With time on the ball,and where purely conventional defending is required,he looks the part.Put him up against pace or trickery and he gets found out.
Get Stones back in soonest.
