We always shit the bed with this guy on the pitch it's that simple, he wasn't even bad or anything but we always look so nervous with him, Stones is better.

He can boss a game against Leeds no problem but when it comes to big important games where every mistake, every decision matters he shits his pants.

I’d have no problem keeping him for league games against teams like Leeds, Brighton etc. but you know he’d spit his dummy out for not getting picked for the big games.

Top of the fucking league with this guy you fucking melt.
I was talking about the CL mate calm down, Liverpool, Spurs, Lyon and now Madrid, we always shit the bed defensively when it gets tough with him on the pitch, we had our best defensive performances in the CL with Stones and Dias last year.

Great on the ball, very good defensively, but every now and then I feel like his head's gone.

Also - and this is on both of them - when he and Dias play together I constantly get the impression they're pissed off with each other. Which doesn't seem conducive to good teamwork.

There’s a reason Deschamps never picked him for France, but from our perspective he’s not been the same player since that bad injury he had,be better for all if he was to leave in the not too distant future

Real Madrid didn’t have have a single shot on target for 90 minutes and we had to reshuffle our entire defence on the hour.

Outside of twitter though, in the real world, shots on target is a shit measurement of defending, isn't it.

If a defender passes the ball to the striker who manages to miss an open goal, it's still a mistake by the defender.

Laporte is perfectly good enough to be our 3rd CB but he's not in our best partnership and Aké will put him under pressure if he keeps making progress.

Agree to an extent, but other than being a prick in the first few minutes, I don’t remember him doing much wrong tonight.

If everyone had been for tonight, I’d have gone with him and Stones. Think Dias has looked a bit rusty since his return.

Think you could pick fault with a few players tonight, i’d say Laporte, Rodri, Bernardo, were pretty fucking good tonight. Foden, Jesus and Cancelo solid. Dias better other than the pen.

Didn't like seeing him and Dias arguing. Our best partnership is Stones and Dias. Injuries at the back haven't helped our challenge this season. I don't think our back 4 from last season concedes 6 goals against Real.

Dias worries me almost as much as Laporte tbh. Next season will reveal whether the real Dias is last year’s version or this season’s. He has dropped off considerably imo. We need Stones back.
