He played 39 games. Without him?

Stones moving to right back, in Walker’s position, was a revelation and cited by many (in football and on here) as the defining tactic of the season.

39 games, fine, but the bottom line is he was shoved out the team at the business end of the season and didn’t start in the two finals for a reason. We were a better team without him even when his strengths were there (pace, pure defending) - so we’ll be a better team without him when those strengths are getting rinsed every week by a new winger.

Watching the highlights and good Lord, to call it an 'effort' in getting back for their first goal would be an overstatement.

He was level with the Palace player and then he suddenly puts on the brakes and leaves him to Dias who is a good yard slower. Brainless football.

Absolutely dreadful yesterday and all season. His much vaunted pace has gone aswell. That Franca dusted him twice from a standing start yesterday. Watching him with the ball in the opposition half is just painful. Please Pep take him out of this team he is killing us every week. Akanji is much better out there for me.

He's getting done one on one all the time now. Without his recovery pace he offers nothing to us.

needs dropping. Been poor lately. out run at times he would never in the past.

Get back to the same formation and defensive structure as the end of last season and hopefully should see us stop making silly defensive errors
