We all want him dropped but it’s pep that needs it too happen and if he keeps starting him week after week it won’t even matter what kdb and haaland di because we will just continue to throw games away .

Better but still a bit sloppy at times, seems to struggle sorting his feet out recently.

But the pass to Kovacic was fantastic.

Missed a simple header in the 1st half that created a chance for them, lost the ball in a very dangerous area that almost cost us, and he was very casual in the 2nd half when Gvardiol made that blocked pass to him in the dangerous area. Today, we were up against a very defensive-minded Urawa side, but a better team would have punished us. Akanji/Stones at RB for me all the way. Great pass to Kovacic, though.

This is absolutely not performance related, but why doesn’t this guy ever get a rest? He is the oldest regular starter on the team. We have people that can fill in for him without a drop off in quality (in most instances). For a game like today - in crazy heat - it seems like you could have given him a day off. Or subbed him. I know this isn’t a new question…

His left foot is none existent so he's always struggling. As soon as he is pressed and has to turn towards our goal he is fucked because he has to try and contort his body to pass it infield with his right foot.

Even Mahrez can make a 10 yard pass with his weak foot.

Completely agree with what you said about Walker but this feels like a disservice to Mahrez's right foot. He was such a handful for fullbacks because they knew he could fake the shot with his left and go on to his right foot. From a quick look at Transfermarkt, it looks like Mahrez scored almost 29%(28.8) of his professional goals with his right foot.

Yeah I agree, he was just the first 'one footed' City player who came to mind.

Cancelo is probably a better comparison with his use of the outside of the boot instead of his weak foot!
