Reading that Southgate is going with trippier and saka as wing backs and playing three at the back, surely walker is better for that role than trippier?
But Walker is the better right CB in a back three. Surprised he's not going Alexander-Arnold, but then he couldn't possibly have two attack-minded wing-backs on the pitch at the same time. We might end up with more than four players in the opposition half, and we can't have that.Reading that Southgate is going with trippier and saka as wing backs and playing three at the back, surely walker is better for that role than trippier?
Very true! Just fail to see what trippier offers that walker doesn't,. We might end up with more than four players in the opposition half, and we can't have that.

Not really as Walker’s main asset is his pace to cover. On the ball he’s bad enough on his right never mind being stuck out on the left. If he wants to prolong his career right side of a back 3 is probably his best option. I just hope it’s not with us.Reading that Southgate is going with trippier and saka as wing backs and playing three at the back, surely walker is better for that role than trippier?

His form isn't good and if he faces Mbappe this time it might not end well. The Netherlands aren't great but still have a few tricky players.
His wife/partner/ex-wife or whatever she is to him and his gold digger baby machine are going to love trying to wage their WAG war in the KSA.
