2 | Kyle Walker - 2024/25

Not sure all the criticism is warranted. Yes he is coming to the end of his career and yes he is frustrating at times. But he has been incredible for us over many years. I also think he could still play an important part this season. He hasn’t had a pre season and is playing catch-up like Phil and Stones.

Given how few bodies we have fit and the workload heaped on those left standing, we should be tempering our expectations and showing a bit more respect to those pulling on the shirt. We’ve a lot of football coming, key players injured, and others still nowhere near fully match fit, so constantly piling in on the likes of Walker and Grealish is just silly.

He certainly didn't shower himself in glory for the first goal.

I think his part in the second goal looks worse than what it is because he specifically took over from Doku to mark Gabriel and looked like a tit when he kept touching him. In reality teams mark zonal for a reason and it's very hard to catch up to someone when they have the run on you like that. I think Gvardiol is more at fault - if you look at the goal and the effort before it he's all at sea.

He did manage to keep Martinelli at bay quite well in the second half and his speed was right up to it when tracking back.

I think people would have a bit more patience and understanding with the odd brain fart and him getting on a bit, if he wasn't a total bell end off the pitch.
