Are you saying mentally or physically?

I only caught the last 15 minutes as I was watching the Liverpool match until 75 mins. It looked to me like Walker was hobbling a bit after he won the ball from Tavienier (I think it was him anyway)
At one point in the second half, all four of our defenders were limping… and not Saka “limping”.

I for my part am grateful he played without any training in an alarming situation when our defence is half dead on their feet.
Most seem to think Rico is Mr Universe who also should start the next 2 tough away games, and Bournemouth are NOT an energetic physical team.
Walker has played the minutes without being match fit when we had zero alternatives. None.

No idea how we can recover til Tuesday. 4 days recovery til Brighton might help a bit, then have an Intl break without much intensity for most of our tired lads.

I would then question why Lewis started against Spurs in a game that Pep had almost said wasn’t important if it meant he would miss this one.

Yes. They knew Walker would get very little, if any, training before today but still decided to let Lewis play 90 minutes against Spurs. And that was a game they apparently couldn't care less about.

Yep. And also played Foden, Stones, Savinho and Dias who are are key players when we are so short. Madness. Surely the EDS game the night before wasn’t that important !

He's cooked, unfortunately. Been a great player for us for a long time, but he's past his best ... and combined with the off the field stuff, it feels like it's time

Another player, like Gundogan, who is clearly playing through poor fitness because no bugger else is fit.

Withholding judgement until March, like with everything else.

Thanks for the good times Kyle. Time to call it a day. That chance for them at the start of the second half was painful viewing.

Fair enough, but Gvardiol has quite a few moments where he's suspect defensively, such as today, but the positives with him continue to outweigh the negatives, as in my eyes, they do for Lewis.
never ever missing the chance to shit on the players you dislike while refusing to acknowledge your faves can have a bad game. you are not capable of having an objective take or you just never grasped the concept of constructive criticism.

Kyle's not my favorite player by any means. Been a vocal critic of his for both on field performances and off field behavior.

However, watching the game I felt....bad?for him. Hasn't practiced, not in form, been injured, in a physical decline, etc. Should have been hooked. It almost felt cruel to leave him on.

An absolute liability these days, said a bit back i wouldn't start him again

Walker was diabolical fit or not. Some of his decisions were a joke for a seasoned pro

I’ve been saying for several seasons that once KW loses his pace he will offer not a lot else because he’s not the most intelligent footballer and decision maker, but his pace has got him out of trouble until now and glosses over that.

That said his contribution to our success until now has been huge [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

Felt sorry for him yesterday.

He's been a massive part of how we play and our success, but yesterday was fucking awful, pace used to get him out of trouble but when thats on the slide its going to be hard for him.
