Unsurprisingly, I don't see my view as "selective".

In fact, I look ahead to see the impact of policies versus who is in the House or the Senate to see where the blocks are and how those blocks will be broken.

I find too many looking at 'character' only and who's not going to tweeting all the time.

I even saw a tweet of a person holding a sign up that said she wanted to go back to 'brunch'. WTF?? Is this all it is to some people? Obama also said about a 'normal' presidency! It bothers me that people want to 'ignore' the pres and go back to having nothing tangible in 4 years.

Well, while that's okay for the Wall Street types and middle and upper suburbia, that's not enough for the working class. If it was this race would be done and dusted hours ago. All that does is allow another twat to step into the hot seat.

I try my best to look at the whole picture.
 
Well IF Biden does win, he will have received the most votes to be President of anyone in history (tbf he will get that title even if he doesn't win).

it's not something that makes Bigga happy, in truth it doesn't lighten my day either, but where it gets irritating is that most posters in here acknowledge this, while he keeps howling at the moon for a politics, which no matter how appealing, has too few buyers.

I haven’t called anyone on this forum names and I take everyone at face value as I know nobody personally.

You argue your corner well, but lately seem to display the same traits you are complaining about.

You’re not on your own there.
Ive noticed it a lot in the political forums.

There is hypocrisy in here but it’s from all sides. Some people seem to revel in playing the victim. Some people quite obviously have a forum persona.

I try not to be either and just be my better self, while trying to retain my sense of humour.

Personal disputes, particularly in the political forum, seem to get repetitive and pointless and very tedious and most likely turn childishly insulting.

I'd be interested to see how often that title changes hands given that the US population seems to increase every single year

I have been there before and have learned from it.

Even the mods will tell you that in the last few months.
 
Looks like Biden has won looking at the map and the percentages of votes left to count. Trump will likely take Georgia, North Carolina and in my opinion he might eek out Pennsylvania - I can only see Biden taking the rest. Real close one if that’s the case.
 
For over a month the Democrats have been pushing people to vote by mail while the republicans have been telling people not to do it. As more mail in ballots are counted it should start to favor Biden more and more.
